Uttley and Munro opened up in the knowledge that if got off to a flyer, what little hope had of winning the match would quickly disappear. Fortunately both were up to the task, finding good lines and lengths and tying the opening bats down. They were soon rewarded for their hard work with a brief flurry of wickets; Munro winkled a positive LBW decision out of Andy Wilson, Opener KROONER sportingly sacrificed his wicket in the name of comedy run-outs
