Sounds like a bit of a can of worms to me, the SSML hierarchy can't have been overly impressed. Who did Bedford play yesterday or on Tuesday night at McMullen Park out of interest.

You really should check with your own club and it's ground availability before you start of Bigg T!

In all fairness Cec we did not have a game scheduled 'at home' for this week so why would or should Bedford not have arranged something for themsleves or their reserve team on their own pitch? Such is life when groundsharing (as I'm sure you are more than aware). If anything was to blame it was communication delays. Bedford have been very good to us though and we are certainly not going to try and force an issue with them. They are true gents and we fully respect them as people and as a club.

Wader - It was not my intention to make a state issue over this, Gordon Boateng style, I simply asked whether Bedford actually had a midweek fixture, either yesterday or on Tuesday, however you have failed to answer that question. I already know that our good friends at McMullen Park are the salt of the earth and bend over backwards to help anybody out so clearly, as you rightly say, there's no need to make waves un-necessarily.

Waves is exactly what was happening this week - on the pitch! Their 2 matches scheduled for this week both ended up being called off due to pitch waterlogging. If we'd shoehorned Langford in somehow, that too would have been called off again. The weather has been atrocious until today and indeed stopped 12 booked readymix concrete lorries from delivering to the new ground site.
