sorry coach but if the kids are good enough they will come through.The fact of the matter is that kids don't play football as much as they live,in most cities there used to be plenty of green spaces,there are little anymore in the cities,and thats where most people live.

Face it,only a fraction of kids play football regularly compared to 20-30 years ago

BTW In addition to Dyer, Parker and Wright, we also have Green, Ferdinand, Ashton, Zamora, Bowyer, Etherington, Noble, Mullins, Upson, Davenport, Cole, Stokes, Walker, Reid, Tompkins and Ephraim. All English and have squad numbers.

 

We also have 3 Welsh, 2 Scots and 1 Northern Irish. In fact out of a squad of 31 players. only 5 are from outside the UK and one of those is an Aussie and 1 is a Yank, plus 2 French and a Swede.

 

Which probably explains why we will win F**K all!!!!

so how it comes industrialized countries such as France,Spain produce good young players?their youngsters are not better than ours....they are only given a chance over average foreign players.it's indeed true that some league clubs demands over the top money for their players but i would like to think "how many michael kightly out there" i mean players whom their coaches didn't know how to handle them.I can tell you that have seen so many like that because of the old fashioned mentality "big is strong so scrap that little talented fella that has a football brain and pick that 6 foot 4" player that can barely kick a ball.

Sure some players get overlooked but at the top level 99.5% of the time they are noticed and if good enough progress.

Some get left behind because of their attitude and their lifestyle.Dyer is one that springs to mind,got all the talent in the world but has f*cked about for the last 6-7 years

Arsenal got rid off bentley because he was and still is a flash git.Wenger had the hump with him after a league cup success where he scored and the next day went out and splashed out 50'000 on a new car plus a bit of bling.

Perhaps if our players concentrated on playing football instead of worrying about money then we may start to get somewhere.

Sidwell wanted first team football and was not good enough at the time.Wenger wanted him to stay for the future but the player knew best
