How are Snadhurst shaping up JJ ? Looks like you boys are going to be up there.

Not the same Sandhurst i've come across over the past 7 seasons. A bit light in midfield and not enough quality up top. They usually spray balls from left back to right wing and vice versa. Nothing like that at all tonight. Set pieces are usually good quality but again didnt see any of it.

 

Good keeper though. Kept the score down with some fine saves.

 

If we keep players fit we can seriously challenge this season.

i'm on two already.

 

I've played mainly on the left for the past 3 or 4 seasons and not been booked once. All of a sudden i play 2 on the bounce in the centre and get booked twice.

 

Neither of them should have been bookings though. I really do need to foul someone properly to justify a booking. Bloody crappy refs!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did hear from my sources that last night was a fully deserved caution after he slid in with both feet and got nowhere near the ball

I agree with you Johno when you say it's not the same Sandhurst as the past couple of years.

 

Last season the club went through a 'transition period' where they were hoping to get more local and younger lads involved coming up from the youth team.

 

Every player we have bought in this season is early 20's and live rather locally. Hopefully over the next year or so the team will build together and become the force we were a while a go.

 

Yep, Andy is in my view the best keeper in the league. Shame for me cos it will take me a while to get a first team place now!

 

And JJ, the penalty! What happened I was still in the changing rooms after a shower! Should it have been one?

I did dive in....not with 2 feet thou and it was to block the ball as i was coming in from the side. I didnt touch him but his follow thru did catch me on the back of the head. There were worse tackles than that and they didnt get cautioned for them.

 

Rubbish ref. He had a shocker.

 

The pen was very dubious and the ref was not in a good position to call it. The lino was asleep so the ref guessed.

It was in my opinion outside the box and i was pretty close to it.

Yep when I came out and asked about a goal they said about it being a penalty that was right on the edge of the box and it was one of them ones that could have gone either way.

 

Johno I saw your goal!!!! I couldn't believe a little lad could kick a ball that far and hard
