Whelpdale on Sky Sports tonight

I see Chris started for Posh on Saturday and hit the post before being substituted after 77 mins. I guess he's in line to play tonight against Southampton in the league cup. Be intersting to see how he plays against so called Championship players!

What a fantastic 12 Months it has been for Chris, A year ago he was living with his parents, driving an old beat up fiesta and playing for Maldon in a pre-season cup game against us.

Did you get a sell on clause as part of the deal when you sold him.If so i think you may get some money through as he looks comfortable against higher opposition.I am glad he is not playing next tuesday at the bridge!!

Yeah, I think he's played realy well so far tonight. Made one of the goals too.

Doh! They've taken him off at half-time. Sky co-commentator says he thinks "Whelpdale will be a miss." May be injured I suppose.

 

So he's impressed a few people.

He got a bloody nose during the 1st half and was still bleeding at half time. but he played great and looked a natural at that level.

I sat down at the start of the second half with my TV dinner, just in time to see him being subbed - DOH !!! Did see his part in the second goal later on though and like an ex-Ricay friend of mine in Spain who was seeing him in action for the first time, was very impressed with how at home he looked at the Posh.
