How quiet it's been on here last night and today.

 

Apart from a few fans comments I haven't seen anything from players on yesterday's games. We've waited for months for the season to start and when it does, we get 8 home wins from 8 games (Is that a record BTW)?

 

Smallsy, how good were Barking or how poor were Bowers (I couldn't make it as I was watching my lad play).

 

Kaiser, great start but were Stansted as improved as we've heard?

 

Coach, are Barkingside going to be top 3 again?

 

Beeswax, what are the new boys like?

 

Trenks and Co, a brilliant result but how poor were Sawbo?

 

C'mon lads, must be post first match fatigue, either that all you were all totally [****!!****]ered last night and are still recovering!!!

Even so, Smallsy won't be happy about conceding 10 goals in 2 games (The other being Grays-assuming he played the whole game), regardless of the opposition.

I bet he had a thing or two to say to the players in front of him...

Well,Barkingside might have lost a bit of creativity going forward but they made it up for it working a bit harder in other areas of the pitch. they were not better than us and they made less mistakes helped by a blind assistant ref that didn't see their goal was a massive off-side and a dodgy wobbling on another one.We started well,missed chance to go 1-0 up,they got their goal like i described.We got back 1-1 5 minutes later with a good goal from our forwards and let them back in there 2 minutes later(yes league chairman,not in the 38th minutes)thanks to another defensive gift.2nd half and they scored from a set piece because new players panick and don't stick to instructions(it will come lads...i have got a big megaphone with a google translator incorporated )After that for 40 minutes they were happy to let us have the ball and sit in their own half trying to hit us on the break but lack of accuracy,inventive, and dodgy referee's decision(a penalty for hand ball) denied us the chance to score again.They will be there or there about,top 5 probably.

we have other good forwards too.It's only a matter of getting the 3 "heavy" players that are out injured back and then nobody will like to play against us,we won't be the nice guys anymore.

Paterson back from holiday and a lad that could be a new player a la Mervin Abrahams.I didn't take into account any future signings from whealing and dealing "harry Redknapp"alias DG.He's restless at the moment and he even put in a bid for Christian Vieri! He won't stop till we overcome those" billionaires" from Thames road in the tables.

Hookster. I definitely try my best not to come on the forum on Saturdays and Sundays, as I try to have a life...

 

Stansted have definitely improved. Some very tidy players that can hurt you if you let them.

 

I think they could suprise a few teams this year.

Sawbo are not a patch on the old sawbo . Their manager is a bit sunday league ie. standing there with his top off like he is on the beach and making comments like " weve only got to score another 6 " when they scored their consolation . Their keeper and centre half were abysmal . We were happy we got 3 points but we played at maybe 50% of what we can to be honest and not at all happy that we conceded .
