Canvey Score Please

1-0 down at half time. Goal came just before half time. Canvey have looked the better side thus far with better pace and movement, but Slough significantly improved from Tuesday's performance. Only concern for me is that we don't look threatening enough in terms of creating chances.

Line up:

Pollard, Duncan, Harper, Daly, Bartley; Woodruffe, Roddis, Mets, Moleski; Charles, Miller

Subs: Adrian Browne, Nas ????, ??? Fairclough. I will confirm the subs names later as Paul did give them to me earlier.

Davies was working today.

We looked a lot better in an attacking sense in the second half when we went to 3-5-2 with George playing slighty advanced of Roddis and Metcalfe, half to stop their number 2 dictating play, and half to give us a better link to the attack.

Charles looked very good upfront and although fortunate to get his goal - he closed down a clearance from our defence which the defender and keeper left to one another and neither took - had a good game.

They looked good with pace and trickery down either flank and caused us a number of problems.

As with the first half though, we didn't test their keeper enough, and for me, this has been a continual theme from the pre-season.
