always League Predictions and Contenders

Recommended Posts

Who do you think The Fleets most likely contenders for promotion are this season?

I can not seem to tell going by the preseason matches as some have been disappointing from likely teams, whilst others have been suprising?

I definatley think we will be in the Play-offs at least this year but the teams i can see contending with us for the promotion spots this season are:-

Aldershot, York, Halifax, Rushden & Diamonds, Torquay, Oxford and Cambridge,

Im eager to hear your views surely we can all see what a good team we've got to offer this season and i know we would all love 1st place, but i think if any one is going to stop us its got to be the above.

It will be an interesting season as there are many teams there that are more than capable to acheive high positions but also many teams that will always give 100% and cause upsets.

Whats your predictions???????????

2 Days till showtime!

COME ON THE FLEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMHO I think the squad is actually stronger then last year. With more players fighting for key positions. The team may and I say may be weaker without Mac and Ross but the squad is definately stronger. Without Mac at least the responsibility for scoring will have to be shared and probably different tactics enforced.

Can't wait till 3 tomorrow.

One thing I think a lot of us are overlooking is how much our players are improving. The squad doesn't necessarily have to be bolstered with new signings to be stronger, just look at how well Purcell's performing in pre-season, and how good Chukki and Luke's understanding is, and how Stacy Long is seeming to dictate games more than he did last season.

Fairer judgements will be made on this at 4.45 but bare it in mind- another thing that helps young players flourish is belief in them!

I think going on todays game and pre-season and also hearing of other matche's eg exeter and aldershot, we not much different from last season charlie and ross didnt make our team,

our team is still there and joinig half of you i do think we are a little stronger.

Main worry now is our defence, but our attacking strength looks pretty good.

We finished in a good position last season thers nothing saying that we cannot aim higher were tighter than last year we just havent got a wonder striker.

Be hopeful for promotion dont write us of yet theres a long way to go......
