Bill Edwards

According to the Kent Messenger "Bexley Extra" Bill Edwards has joined Erith Town (not to be confused with Erith & Belvedere). It actually says "Billy" Edwards but does say Margate straight after.

 

I am not sure what Bill has been doing for the last season but its great to see him back in action again - a legend.

Not waiting Tony, I have heard the club is waiting for him to come up with a team and date.

Good to hear he's back in action - didn't play for anybody last year. Might have to make the effort to see Erith Town play sometime soon.

That is one game I would make the effort to attend.

I can second that. He felt very rock like when he jumped on top of me at the Coffin End after scoring that goal for us season before last...

Not sure i entirely agree with thw 'quality' comments, but a guy who made 400 appearances must have had something i guess;and certainly has respect for doing exactly that

For somebody who wasn't quality he's got a pretty good football CV.

Absolutely right Jeff.

 

Over the years we have had some oustanding central defenders, Brian Moffat, Bob Harrop and Ray Chatham (alright I know these go back some way but they were all class) to name but three and Bill Edwards is there with them, the best in my opinion.
