I thought the general consensus was that the certain someone I think you are referring to was sacked, as opposed to jumped ship, so thanks for clarifying the matter once and for all.

Cecil. Ship jumping is part and parcel of the game that is football. Players come and go, managers, coaches, assistants, physios, even directors. It is a transient sport to a large part.

Why it is such a surprise to you that people ship jump to further their careers other than to ubiquitously 'spend more time with their family' is naive and frankly plain old blooming daft.

At Kentish players will come and go for reasons other than wanting 'to spend more time with their family' even The Great One may go.

What will you say of The Great One when his non-league talents that you espouse and believe in religiously are finally recognised and he takes the Queens shilling and boogers off to a higher placed club? What then will you say to explain this away?

I have a concern here. Although Cecil is possibly the most infuriating person at times, I can see mass deletions of his posts on the cards by any new mod. Fairly or otherwise.

The transfer of posts to appropriate threads though is a good
idea.

Wader - I couldn't agree with you more about this issue and it is something that is playing on my mind particularly if Ian gives NeutralFan the nod to become moderator, I think he will have an over zealous approach and delete posts and threads willy nilly a bit like Richard Beeching's culling of the railways in the 60's.

I don't believe I'm away with the fairies as you put it at all.

Rhodesy, can you do me a favour old chap and provide us with a list of this majority of members who like you. Ta.

Surprisingly I actually side with rhodes on this and no disrespect Neutral Fan but I don't think you'd be the most ideal moderator for this forum.

Of those who post regularly I personally think AWK would be the best person. However the important thing is does he want to do it. Neutral Fan has put his name into the ring as has rhodes I believe. Not sure if anyone else has though.

TheSpursFan - A very sensible and logical post as always, of course this Forum doesn't need a moderator as we're all adults who are good ambassadors for the beautiful game at Step 5 and 6 level at the end of the day. The only real occasions a moderator has been required so far in the last year was when nutcases such as BewareofRhodents and Rhodentsareback have come on with the sole intention to cause problems and be abusive and Browndog has also sailed close to the wind at times although fortunately he seems to have disappeared without trace.

Surely this must be one of those imortal moments frozen in time, Neil Armstrong style, Seb Coe winning the 1500 metres at the Moscow Olympics and Ronnie Radford's goal for Hereford against Newcastle to name a few.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Lato, however I think it would be more hassle than its worth.
