UDATED NEWS FROM THE CLUB WEBSITE

BlueGate Alan

Recommended Posts

The Club can now confirm that Rob Howarth, Daniel Young and Paul Axon have all signed for the Club. Paul Smith who was previously with Brentford has joined us as physio.

Carl Baron, Shane Suter and Ben Pain have all been released and we understand that Carl has joined Ramsgate.

The part-time Commercial Manager the Club had agreed terms with has now taken a full-time position with another Club, we wish him all the best.

Issues over car parking and archaeology studies, which have delayed the construction of the 5 a-side centre, have now been resolved and we are awaiting a new start date from our contractor.

Good to see Trotty has secured those 3 on contract. Paul, imo, will be a great asset and still only 17. Rob looks much fitter than he was and I have been impressed With Daniel so far.

Shame re Karl, and I wish him all success with Ramsgate.

A word in the ear of the chairman last night did the trick then. About time.

Well,Wardies attendance at Sittingbourne has now been answered then. re: Barron

Commercial manager was indeed that man who went to Folkestone then after all.

1)Now, are we going to get ANOTHER commercial manager in?

2)Are we going to get another date for the 5-a-side pitches to start again...but for "REAL" this time. Maybe it will be a while yet before we even KNOW that date.I suspect it will be but I sincerely hope it isn't.

3)Thank you at long last MFC for at least giving us something. Its been a long time coming.

4)Please MFC can you update us,maybe on a fortnightly basis about ANYTHING,including the 5-a-side pitches rather than have it delayed months on end again, hence the bad feelings of late that have come about because of these long periods of silence.

5)I know you all (MFC)look in on here so don't make out you haven't been politely asked.

6) A personal thank you from me to you,Malcolm for acting when asked.

How painless was that!

Just out of interest, what did Malcolm say about the updates. Is it simply that he is not aware of the interest from supporters, is it a problem with communication between him and webmaster, or is it just apathy on behalf of the club. What did you actually ask him Tony?

Hi Steve,I sat next to him & mentioned that I had sent a long(no surprises there) e.mail to their office & to Ken Tomlinson about this. He obviously hadn't seen it & when I mentioned that fans were getting angry about getting no feedback he accepted this, mentioned he had heard some rumblings about this & would get something up a.s.a.p. That he has done & well done to him for that.
He agrees that to lose support at anytime is not a good thing.Lets hope that he, at least, continues to listen to us fans & keeps the updates coming on a more regular basis than before. If he dosen't or the club dosen't then be assured another word in his ear might be forthcoming in the future. Lets hope that isn't necessary eh!
Nice bloke Malcolm. The only one I believe that really & truly cares (exception being K.T.) & wants to listen & act. He is very approachable.Sometimes though, despite being chairman, his hands get tied, unfortunately. On this occasion he came good. Good for him!
There, that wasn't TOO long (for me) was it Alan wink

I am sure knowing us supporters that Cookie wasn't the only one to seek out Malcolm last night and air their views re lack of info, but at least we have some to digest now so it obviously helped. Well done all you lads n lasses.

I'm sure I wasn't Alan & hopefully others DID have an influence too.

Whether we made a difference or not we don't really know but it seems to me, to be to co-incidental, having seen this update the very next morning, especially as Malcolm had hinted action. But its not about who did what its about getting info out to others, especially those, like myself, who have been disallusioned with the club on this subject.

Lets hope that those who intimated would they not go to the games because of the long silence might have a quick re-think, though I'm sure some will never forgive. If they have any love for this club at all I hope they will turn up on opening day & get behind the players, who incidentally have done nothing wrong.
