Cookie we have not meet yet but I will say this to you its

Not about bullying though is it your comment was based on one viewing of him by your own admission over 10 minutes, you raved about the no7 who IMO missed at least seven good chances and had a similar build. But, clearly a good prospect?

There are many strikers who are at the highest level not gifted with large physical frames

Owen

Walcott

Deco

And so on!

The coloured guy brought on near the end was as said very very big, also slow with no touch whatsoever!!! Push em over Harry who will be found out the first time a quick reasonably gifted defender is up against him. Lets hope you don’t sign him!

Maybe biased my own lad has had to contend with this type of uneducated crap for years. At the end of the day with record of 16 in 16 he should have been given a chancce MANAGERS!!!

MM not sure that Trotty knows much at all. If you remember he was the one that signed Abbott, Oakes, Wild and Donovan last season only to find them wanting or whatever and get rid of them.

Was he also the one that signed Robinson, Wisker, Hoggart at the beginning of the season and then not use them except for keeping the bench warm.

Was he also the one that signed Bagley, Holden who left and Dolton who left and again either did not bring them on or made them keep the bench warm.

Was henot the one to get rid of Protheroe and Brayley probably one of the few quality players at the club

Are the latest signings namely Axon , Bagley again and a few others just bench warmers for this season? Lets wait and see

I have no idea if reserve players get 'a wage'-i suspect they may get £100-£150, but if the club was so much more active commercially, maybe ,just maybe, the funds would be there to support the development of the likes of KB and others just a bit longer-maybe another season.

If the funds were there, maybe they could get £220 instead ( i am only wildly guessing the figures).

With the impatience of youth, maybe players would still go.Maybe one or two would give it one more season.

Maybe RT released KB and others on a purely footballing decision.

Maybe he wanted to keep him in an ideal world but the funds are'nt there.

RT has to make a choice of who to keep and who to release

We do not always agree with his choices.

To be fair, most times he has got it right.

If the additional funding was there, maybe he could keep more players to develop them.

If only the club did more to generate funds ,it may mean we could have kept just one more'developing player' to mutual benefit

Re: Wellhard : Its not uneducated crap. Its an observation & a fact, just like the one you have just made about Akinde & his build. How many times have you seen him play by the way to be making that comment about his play.

Just why Trotty deems it fit NOT to retain Karl's services is not for me to say. You will have to take that up with him.

Re: TQA'S comment above: I never said it was one comment for one & not for the other.Axon will find it tough too.But he's staying here & there was no reason to mention him on a forum of a club he isn't playing for.

In both cases I am talking of playing in the Ryman Premier division as opposed to playing in the Kent League 2 (4 divisions lower).

It will be hard for both of them,no matter what their builds & despite previous scoring records. Its a challenge for both of them & if it comes off for them both then good for them.

I never said I was against either of them becoming successful,as Wellhard rightly says it DOES happen quite often with lightweights.

MM forget the money aspect all the players were signed whether for peanuts or bigger money because he felt they were good players. Most never played many games or only played on cups he did not want to win.

His eye for a good player on the above seems poor as the majority never made it for Margate or have been discarded by him presumably because he made a bad decision on their ability.

I'm not sure he knows talent when he sees it.

Lets see what he does with the players he has now. Will Haworth be the new Shearer or a donkey? Will Bagley or Axon suddenly become Ronaldos, will Smith be the new Adams , will Morris and Yound be the new Gilbertos of the team.

Lets watch and dream

MM reserve players don't get paid a penny and the players mentioned would and do play for nothing. Its not about how much they get paid its about how much time a manmager has to develope players and unfortunatly Trotty has non of the above.

These player want to see that if they do the right things can learn of seasoned players that they will get a chance to prove they are good enough on the field of play. Barron like all those players before him thought he would be able to do that preseason but to get 10 minutes hear and there is quite frankly not enough.

Agree with last sentence ,and whist i do not always think RT has done the right thing by a few players; in fairness is that not why we have a reserve team manager;and again, maybe just maybe, with RT playing less;he should and must give a bit more time to the other teams. But it is a balance ,insofar as if the main team performs poorly, we will all be on his case;so first team squad has to be priority.

Its also what i would want and expect;but can understand others more local and with a slightly greater interest in 'development' can see it a bit different.

I would not want to see development in favour of a good first team squad-yes short term a bit; but thats priority for me.

Just when I was feeling more positive Trott drops another clanger and gets rid of Barron, a player who nearly "everybody" but Billy Big [****!!****] thinks is an extremely good prospect. I only saw him a couple of times last season but was very excited about how he might develop as were most people I spoke to. I don't care about the level of football he was playing at-to score 16 in 16 at "any" level is quality and to not even be given a f^cking chance is diabolical. He could have started in some of our friendlies and if he didn't prove himself in them there would have at least been a reason. Our loss is Ramsgates gain and I hate to say it but Jim Ward has a proven track record-Trott has yet to prove anything. Before any of the Trott ar$elickers come on here and say he saved us from relegation-yes but he did it with Kinnears team, all he did was change the tactics-last term he achieved sweet f.a.

And before any of you slate me, as Cookie says-these are my own personal observations and opinions so tough sh!t if you take offence at criticism of our beloved manager-it's what football is all about.

I should be the one who should be depressed, after all my other team is Leeds Utd frown

I do agree re Barron though, I saw him quite a few times in the reserves last season and, although slim build, he is and still will be a goal machine I feel. Scored some beautiful goals out of nothing at times.

I would urge you fellow supporters to come to as many Reserve games as possible this season because I know you will see some good footie being played with plenty of passion being shown by the lads.

I agree with the above saw Barron three times and IMO has the potential to do well regardless of appearance and would have converted at least 50% or Coleman’s chances, that lad will come back even stronger apparently Mr Trott did not offer him anything other than a path back to the reserves????

My sources have told me that he was in fact a Gillingham lad played for Kent and has a scoring record stretching back some time I agree with Hornet a clanger Mr Trott that will come back to bite you!!!

Give it a rest will you! You've misconstrued my postings & it seems nothing I say will see them understood by you in the manner that they were intended.

1) He has talent.I have never disagreed on that. Please show me anywhere where I have doubted that!

2) In time with the help of natural growth & more experience he may yet make it good.

He was on the right road road here at Margate & yes Trotty should have tried harder to secure his services for him to continue on that road.

3) Going to Ramsgate though is NO more a guarantee that he will get regular first team football. In fact it could put him back from the advancement he was showing over here.

4) I hope it works out for him. Ive never said otherwise.

5) Finally,I admit I may not have seen as many reserve games as you have(you don't actually say how many you have seen in total) or some others have but I most definately can say I have seen more than most & anyway I need only to see a person just the ONCE to know what their physique is.

Now thats all I'm going to say on the subject.

Time will tell how the lad does & I for one wish him well.

just to throw another spanner in the works in regards to keeping hold of local talent - again training 1 and a half hours (if lucky) away from your home pitch is still a debacle and not a great way of keeping hold of young talent who might not drive or have the ability to get to training each week

Just out of interest, doubting thomases should have a look on the official Sittingbourne FC site, read the match report. Nice comments about Margate (and Ramsgate!)

The Ramsgate official website contains some interesting 'propaganda' on this transfer.

All credit to them for the way they have 'spun it'.

Hidden in there somewhere, it does say that Mr Trott did ask Mr Barron (jnr)to stay at Margate but he declined the opportunity.

A interesting article through very red eyes though regardless
