Implications are that he has/will signed?

Confirmation either way would be good.

 

I do not recall reading much about his footballing pedigree/background;and in particular his last couple of clubs.

 

If he has/will be signing, i wish him a very successful career with MFC,developing immediately into an outstanding centre back under RT's guidance,and in time progressing into the football league with MFC or for a significant fee to the benefit of MFC.

Just need to sign Owen now,(if Jay is goig to play in defence) and if we get Akinde and/or Coleman on loan for 3 months until Yianni is fit and we are out of the cups,early season injuries settle down, then that is a bonus.

If we have great cup runs-do we ever- then maybe we can afford to extend any loans or sign others.

 

Did i read somewhere that aswel as in midfield,Owen can also play central defence, so to me that would be a great signing as a bit like Protheroe you get cover for two positions

 

Pity about Barron-but guess you can only have so many strikers at one time.

Danny was an exceptional player for us - really consistent, great in the tackle and won a lot in the air despite him not being the tallest. He was also a great leader to our lads last season, most of whom were very young and inexperienced, and despite his 19 years showed great experience. He was formerly youth team captain at Derby County but unfortunately did not make the step up to the first team there.

He won the Players' Player of the Year, Manager's Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year at Croydon Athletic last season, and that really says it all. He will be greatly missed here. In addition he is nice guy and as I say, a very good leader and example to younger players.

 

As you can tell - I really didnt like him at all!!!! Good luck next season to Margate and of course to Dan.

Notice he's always referred to as 'Danny' on any web pages to do with Croydon, not a big deal but I also noticed he got sent off in a game at Sittingbourne in April, around the same date that Jay was sent off so he might be in the midst of a ban.

What a glowing report on the "Young" man. He sounds extremely promising and I'm not so peturbed about our defence as I once was. In fact, well done to Robin Trott on all his summer finds-there's not one that doesn't look up to scratch (apart from Suter and he's gone thank goodness ). Optimistic for a great start to the season now.

A good game yesterday.Nice to have a bit of pace at the back and he kept it simple,read the game well ,and seems to have good temperament and coolness

 

Not quite so sure how he will get on when up against a big strong Ryman striker.hallet and Brayley for all their trickery are pretty lightweight.

 

I think Young will continue to do well, but need to spend a bit of time on the weights i think and beef himself up a bit for the rigours to come.

 

I think Side, Harte and Young will all have noticed that Ryman Premier is a different kettle of fish to the southern division; and is probavbly as good a league as conference south
