Reading the Maldon v Heybridge match report i see Bourgeois played and scored for his former club Heybridge on Saturday.

 

I doubt we have much chance of signing him now

Disappointing, would have been a great signing for us.

you dont have to be registered to play in friendlies

That's my point, surely he can play for anyone pre-season, but I was under the impression his registration was held by us, therefore until that's cancelled he can't play for anyone but us in competitive games.

That`s the first i`ve heard about us holding his registration but unless he has signed a playing contract with us it doesn`t count for anything really.

You never know he might turn out for us tomorrow night

i hope he does play tonight other wise his just been wasting johns time,when he could of been getting some one in who wants to play for the club

Bourgeois played and scored again for Heybridge tonight in their 2-1 win at GWR.

i guess thats that with him then,i feel we now need to get another central defender in as were very short on numbers there,someone like niki beale from wakering would do very nicely

Despite being impressed with Bourgeois, we can't be held to ransom by a player. Last nights back line was solid, and that was without Dobbo and Jon Stuart.

Re-joining Swifts is cultured central defender Daryl Bourgeois, after spending last season with Aveley and pre-season at Canvey Island. Bourgeois' first spell with the club, having also been at Cambridge United, was ended after a broken leg at Yeading in September 2004; but a firm fans favourite before, he will be a welcome addition to the squad
