Incredible!!

Had to go away for a week last Sunday, working in Aylesbury, and have not had access to a computer all week. Came back today with much anticipation and logged on to official site and what did I see, absolutely bloody nothing new at all. What a bloody shambles this club has become. Two weeks to go to new season and absolutely no news at all. 5 a sides starting "in earnest" two weeks ago, "Yeh whatever". Apparently a commercial manager was appointed two weeks ago as well. Obviously a sleeping partner on the board and wishes to remain anonymous. We have become a laughing stock. Not one decent friendly again this season and they still cant understand why the crowds didn't flock through the turnstiles last season. The board need to take a serious look at themselves and ask if they want to take this club forward. They all promoted themselves as true Margate supporters two years ago, well its about time they came out and proved it. We will be back to the eighties and nineties soon, with dwindling crowds down to a couple of hundred the way things are going. There is nothing to indicate why I should continue to travel 140 miles round trip each week to watch them this season, the way things are at the moment. JUST BLOODY WELL TELL US SOMETHING WILL YOU, PLEEEASE!!!!!

Now for Margateshot to say the above I think MFC should take note! I think alot of us are pissed off with the way things are at the mo. To be honest steve, i don't have the enthusiasm for MFC like I used to. If I didn't see you next season I wouldn't blame you mate!

Last season i came to about 3 psf's.

This season i have been to none.

I have used the excuse that i am busy.

I am.

But had the hype and marketing been there-and i am not in any way talking about the quality of the players-i would have made the effort.

I'll still watch some home games and many away games in the west London area; but i guess deep down, i similarly have not had the enthusiasm cultivated by the club.

How many more of us are out there.

Games behind closed doors soon unless this is permanently arrested

It may only be 3 of us (so far) but hopefully the BoD will realise they are strangling enthusiasm and putting the club to a long lingering death.

The fact that it is easy to do something about this ,makes it both all the more frustrating ;and even raises the question of is it deliberate ?

If there were assets to strip, you would think that deliberate asset stripping was what was going on.

As there are not, you can only assume that sadly those with the control do not care.

That may well be completely incorrect, but one needs evidence to the contrary.

i didnt go yesterday quite honestly i couldnt be bothered.the enthusism has gone.i only missed 2 games all last season only because i was on holiday but this year.i have been a trus supporter for 45 years now but the way the club is being run at the moment they dont deserve our support.no one seems to care anymore about the fans

The thing is, this is nothing to do with the playing side-its not that we are expecting on pitch miracles this season; its the 0ff pitch 'apparent' apathy that is killing it for everyone.

I reckon RT has got more support this season as he has a harder job, but the lack of respect from the BoD to their customers is killing it .

i use to be a season ticket holder i traveled to nearly all dover game and every game at Ashford (one of only a few), but this year has seen me loose more faith than any other (lie no updates and nothing still happening with the ground)

i went to my first PSF (dover) and i was thinking man i wish i went to the beach instead at half time. 7 pound for a friendly isnt going to attract more custom.

I did bring this to the attention of the forum the other week but was told to leave it and not to disrespect the people at the club especially the one who smokes , but to my knowledge all the time he is here at the club this will always happen . He may have been laughing behind the bar the couple of times i was at party`s at the club but whats there to laugh at , slowly everyone is realising maybe what i ment , don`t get me wrong but like i said there is always a right time to step aside and hand over the rains and now is the time .

We need people at the club with some proper money to be able to keep up with the rest . You have just got to look around the other clubs in the area to see how much they have progressed and they have some coming a very long way and in the right way and in a short amount of time , we`ve gone in the opposite direction , i for one won`t blame the playing staff but you have to blame someone so the board are the only ones left so its them to blame full stop , its time to stop standing up for certain people and things and take a real look at who`s ruining the club we all love and what they are doing to it.Up the Gate.

You have to respect people who have obviously invested money in the club, and until their are viable alternatives, i would not want anyone to step aside.

Investors in a Ryman football club do not grow on trees

However, customers do deserve a modicum of respect;and information

Yes MM you do have to respect people who have invested money into the club and i have a great deal of admiration for the people that have because we would have gone out of bussiness along time ago , but whats the point in investing money then to have nothing to show for it now . This is what i mean by saying how other clubs in the area have invested correctly and they are now developing things to suit themselves and there surporters which in my book is the correct way . If you can only invest for so long whats the point you may as well let someone invest there money into the club who will be able to invest longterm then the club would have something to work to and we as surporters would know where we stood insted of being left in limbo as we are now. Have to agree with everything. I thought about going Saturday, but did`nt. I went to about 8 first team games last season and could not see what the £9 was for when £25 last season got you Premiership football. The hard core supporter is being skinned especially when people like me who are fringe support (except Reserve and u18s) give up. Drop the price for the first 5 home games and see what happens. Oh yes, and advertise the fact

Perhaps we are expecting too much ... the Club has never been too 'fan conscious', except perhaps during the time Par****er was at the helm, remember after taking relegation to Conf.South not knowing if we'd have enough players left to fulfil our first PSF @ Ramsgate.

We were spoilt at the end of the 2005-06 season with Trotty making his wholesale changes. Now we are back to 'normal', it's not got that bad that we have to worry that the team is facing the 'R' word is it? We have retained a lot of last season's stars and are blending their experience with youth ... much in the style that CK developed our future years before we hit the high spots.

That's got to be something worth waiting for!

I agree Peter that in the main on pitch ,RT has done reasonably in close season.

However, we have witnessed declining interest on this forum, declining interest in MFC ,declining attendances, since February (more than previous years).

Off field, the club is in a downward and thus self perpetuating downward spiral.

We do not hear a cry for help from within.

We are not re-assured that there are no signinficant issues remaining.

Mutual trust and respect is evaporating.

As a customer, i have a underlying desire to be appreciated and encouraged in the most simple of ways.

This is not about on pitch matters.

Last season we were top of league in January and still the attendances were falling then.

It is not too difficult to do enough to ensure those extra 50 people attend every week. Then the next 50 and so on.

You ask people to come to the games and respect them for doing so by giving them back just a bit of regular information .

We are in an information world, its peoples hotspot these days,so you feed it to them.

Soon you get back to 700 people attending alongside a few basic sponsorship income earners. You get a bit of extra cashflow. You survive-just.You get control out of chaos. You turn the corner and start to grow again as a business.

In life or business, you are either growing or dying. This club is dying.Other Kent clubs are growing.Personally, i do not like to see that-it hurts.

its as though, if and when the 5-a-sides ever happen, everyone-Board and Supporters-think that will make everything right.

If it happpens-it won't be the big saviour that many seem to think it will be. To rely on that is crazy. They should be a bonus.

We need some simple, non costly fundamental business principles applied here -immediately- if this club is to be saved and then grow.

In a company, if the employees lose confidence in the management, you have a big big problem.

You need to show that you do know what you are doing.

No-one necessarily wants change.I want a simple re-assurance that whilst things are very difficult, those in charge actually know what they are doing. They may not suceed.Thats fine. But initially, i just want to know that people actually know what they are doing, or are they standing back letting the world crumble around them.

I suspect not, and that many good people are actually working very hard.

Now is the time to tell us.

Is the anticipated hard work addressing the right issues-different question, but people need to be given something truthful to hang onto ,and help if need be.
