Yes but would Women players tolerate cold showers, Cockfosters style, when they drove all the way back to Chalk Lane just to get a warm one, I think the answer will say it all.

My point was that what does it tell you about the Cockfosters players if they're arguably afraid of a drop of cold water, I think you confused the issue a bit by bringing Women into the equasion unless you were comparing them to Women.

Ermm, I think you were the one who brought women in to the equation, I just picked up the ball and ran with it.

Anyway, back to subject. Your physio will confirm that apart from sprain and certain muscular injuries, immersion or spraying with cold water after a long period of sweating during physical activity is not really recommended. Besides, we are talking about modern day non-league football, not a workhouse orphanage at the turn of the last century. I can only imagine the spread afterwards. Did anyone ask for more?

Yes but we're not exactly talking Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea are we, most players in our League still have the Hackney Marshes on a Sunday morning mentality when cold showers were actually welcomed to sober up from the night before. Yes the spread on 30 December at Hendon was something to behold, most of our players took doggy bags away with them and the officials had a field day although needless to say we didn't buy them a drink as they had just cost us our groundshare and ultimately promotion.

Yes but not usually when it's not of our own making and when the stakes are so high.

That might be the case for Rag Ar5e Rovers, but you are insulting a lot of fine players with that comment! You really know how NOT to mke friends!

Horace - I'm not in the business to make friends, like I said I call it as I see it and is it my fault if people don't like the truth when confronted by it head on. Anyway who am I insulting in particular, when I said 'our League' I wasn't necessarily referring to the Premier Division.

I have very few good friends but that is no great loss to me, can I help it if people don't like the truth when I open my mouth. Take yesterday for example when I called you a serial sickie thrower at work, that's just my own personal opinion but you straight away took offence.

3praise - You love milking situations like this for all they're worth to try and show me in a bad light. I will gladly apologise unreservedly to Paula after she has been on to tell us how many days she has worked in the last two months.

in your apology you could tell us how many hours you have spent on line, in the last 2 months...neglecting your club in the proocess..

clue, the rough answer is...

around 1,200 posts (about 75 hours + browsing time)

thats about 3 hours per day that you could have spent with your club....

edited !

Isn't all that up to Cecil and his family? Why should anyone have an interest in how he/his family choose to live their family life... as long as it's legal! All that kind of stuff is way off topic I would have thought - and Cecil indulges in it as well with questions about people going on holiday etc. Call me old fashioned but that's all personal and not forum stuff at all.
