We think there were 20-30 Fleet fans.

 

I don't think the result reflected the performance, to be fair. We still played some great football, but just lacked that finishing touch.

 

Really I think this game was for the players to enjoy and to try out new things on the pitch. It was not the strongest side out there to start with, but some of the more key players came on into the second half.

 

Still, it was an entertaining encounter between the two sides, a nice day in the hot sunshine and a nice drive through the country to end it off.

Even though we lost, it was indeed a nice day out, shame about the loss, but we certainly seemed to be experimenting with our play, and think that for eastbourne town, er I mean borough, it was more of a try out for their first team.

 

Oh and can we start a fund for fixing the referees cataracts, how many cocks ups did he make. For example give a goal kick, only then to change it to a corner. Prat!!!

I did notice the poor refereeing, if it was a league game, I'd be going mental

i did think that their players were also over the top with some of their tackles, and their pitch certainly resembled barnet's with its uneveness around the goal mouth.

I agree, just for a friendly, you would think they wouldn't do the heard tackles.

 

I did notice the grass around the goalmouth. Reminds me of Boreham Wood's pitch as well lol.
