Time constraints disallowed rock and pop comparisons when that post was submitted. Notwithstanding that I have to say at the time I was influenced more by; Northern Soul, Parliament, Ska, Reggae, Yes, Pink Floyd, Fresh Cream, Black Sabbath, Todd Rundgren, America, George Benson and Van Morrison.
