SSML Division 1 Odds

Recommended Posts

did you see the game on tele the other night,( might have been Manchester but there are a few,) the electronic advertising board around the perimeter was updating the odds about the next scorer etc .Sultana are always shouting the odds about the blue square conference and Sky bet fit the odd advert in too.

Anyway I hope the ssml and the FA deal with the Kentish town's publicity officer's hideous attempts to encourage gambling in a level headed way.

Where could it all end, gambling websites and bookmakers as shirt sponsors of premiership clubs?

Thank goodness Spurs have a nice affordable housing company as the shirt sponsor.

TheSpursFan - Thanks, yes that's exactly right and this is all the thanks I get, I merely have a friend who's a bookie and I passed on the odds he is offering on the SSML as a number of people such as Eagles1981 and NeutralFan enquired.

Rhodes- Some info for you. This is from the FA Handbook.

Any takers on reporting Rhodes to the FA?

Presumably you'll be discussing it with 'Sugar' tomorrow with a view to him writing another of his ridiculous five page letters to the SSML hierarchy referring to 'bundles' as if he is in a murder trial.

Yes but any complaint will need to be made through the SSML who would then consider whether to pass it onto the FA we're affiliated to as was the case previously when unsurprisingly the Herts FA laughed 'Sugar' out of Court.

Do you think that you would have a case to answer if the matter went further?

What is your interpretation of the FA Rules that I have quoted to you?

Not at all and I wouldn't waste the SSML's or the FA's time if I were you as they won't thank you for it. My interpretation of the FA rules you quoted are that if it went that far then questions may be asked but that's as far as it will get as was the case previously, besides I'm on first name terms with half the FA's hierarchy anyway as 'Sugar' well knows.

It's all a load of old hogwash and is only enforced in high profile cases (I suppose that could mean Cecil, hahaha) and even then not very well!

Players bet on football all the time - at all levels. And club officials are not deemed as participants in the sense of the meaning quoted from the FA handbook. Bloody helll, I've been betting on matches since I was 18 and my internet/telephone Bet365 Account is mad for it on a Saturday morning.

I was speaking to my bookie friend today and he said that he may give his odds compiler a raise following his early season pricing up. There is very little change other than Cheshunt Reserves are out to 17/2, Bedford Town Reserves and Harpenden Town have drifted out and Kentish Town are 7/1 from 10/1
