Lets be positive

Probably a laugh coming from me but lets be positive about last night. It was great to see Nick Lowery back and I thought he provided much needed support to the strikers. If Kevin is still crocked for saturdays 6 pointer against Northwood, how about a run out for Nathan as a centre back ? He's got the height, CAN head the ball and has some aggression. Foxy doesn't cut it at the back and anyway he's far more effective in his midfield role.

How about this for Saturday, assuming Kevin is still out?

Woods

Gooding Elder Jopson

McGowan Lowery Southon Fox Benstock

Jones (if fit) or Martin Cripps

Subs:

Kharine, Cowley, Martin (if Jones OK), Stowe

PS. Whatever happened to the Wolff man?

agree with the positive bit misery guts but the team...won't do mate. But...opinion we all have and indeed I have mine...lets get behind all the playing staff and get up to middlesex and stuff this lot with a full blown aggressive and attacking team...if we sit back and mess around they will do us in big time. Don't forget either...we well beat them at our place...we can do it again..

It was good to see Lowry back, he played well and I thought that Jamie both in midfield and as centre back was justifying the faith that Mick has shown in him...both by bringing him here in the first place and then giving him the armband. Leave it on him Mick...he won't let you or us down.

We are second in the league...forget the games in hand that some of the others have...let them earn 'em under pressure when they play...you all saw last night what can happen with the camels getting shafted big time by Thame...

keep cool...keep the faith and more importantly....

keep coming to these games...

its a big lift for the players...they were all diappointed on saturday when the fans started dwindling towards the end...dont blame 'em...I was into the bar sharpish myself...but...its time for full and complete unity...we are second in the league...if we stay there...

WE WILL GO UP....thats it...simple as that...

Sorry about my naive team selection ps. I don't remember us 'well beating' them at home but I do remember a game that could have gone either way, settled by a screamer from Nick.

I hope Kevin is OK for Saturday, if he isn't then I don't see that my line up is too far out...If you think back to the far off days of last season then the trio of Foxy, Lowery and at that time Kevin took us a mighty long way. Jamie teamed with Nick and Foxy would seem a natural choice now that Kevin has dropped back.

You mean my selection 'won't do' because there is no Cowley, Locke or Kimble then sorry...

I didn't say you're selection was 'naive' I said it won't do..meaning for me...I also said we're all entitled to opinions...I wasn't critisising you...merely stating an alternative opinion....so...don't be such a mis ol' so and so....

as for Cowley, Locke and kimble...firstly I would play Cowley because I think we will need his courage in what I anticipate being a real tough game...Lock is injured so matters not and I don't really have a strong view on the left side between kimble and benno.... I aint picking the team am I...Mick is...do like to see foxy in midfield though I must admit.... if we are stuck at the back....and I am informed that Kevin is doubtful....well Jamie was superb there last night and that would open up the door for Cowley, Foxy and Lowry in central midfield.......might as well go the whole hog now...Gav on the right...Benno on the left....crippo on for last 30 for either jones or martin (who both start)...Gooding...Southon and Joppo at the back.......Stowie....Kimble....macca...and GK on the bench...(we are allowed five aint we)

not getting involved about the keepers...Mick gets paid for that one...

Talking about 'naive' you're view on Nathan bears some credence until you take his inexperience into consideration...then it flys out of the window...there won't be any room for mistakes at all on saturday....not Naths sort of game I don't think...his time will come for these games....

must say that I thought we never came under pressure against Northwood in the last game...as for Lowry's goal...it was a fluke...ask him...he'll tell you...he was trying to cross the ball for Jones....he he he
