With the new season fast approaching the Slough Town Official Website will be testing out a new feature for those unable to make Saturday's match against Dorking ahead of the new league campaign.

 

A LIVE score service showing score updates, the current status of the match (ie in-play, half-time, full-time etc) and the team line-up and subs will be shown on the frontpage of the website throughout the whole 90 minutes.

 

Please bear in mid this is very much a test, but there **should** be no reason as to why this will not work, so anyone wanting to know score details, and can't make it to Dorking please log onto www.sloughtownfc.net between 2:55pm and 16:50pm.

Indeed roll on Boxing Day when doubtless a "bumper" crowd will roll up to the Slag only to be told that the pitch is unplayable (shock). The game will then be rearranged for some Tuesday when Champions League is on (not a Liverpool game obviously) when no-one will turn up and the game will be a drab draw.

 

Ah, but we are genuinely "away" this time round so who gives a flying....

Chris is hopeful to have the new site in place by the start of November, and I hope to be able to trial the Live Score prior to this, but this is dependant on Chris being able to spend some time looking at it.
