Gordon boateng leaves brimsdown

Recommended Posts

I thought Toto was poor yesterday in the brief moments that he and the ball were in near proximity but difficult to judge him on one performance as the whole Israel team were dreadful.

I can't work out why 'we' didn't play him from the start, he may have got an early goal as he so nearly did in Tel Aviv and that would have totally changed the game

I still made him Israel's best player by far after he came on, he's one of these electric players that you hardly ever see anymore who gets the pulses racing and makes the hair stand up on the back of ones neck as soon as he touches the ball, only a few players could do that and they're all retired or dead.

I must have been watching the wrong Toto Tamuz!!!!

Thought Gareth Barry was superb, along with Wright-Phillips and Richards. Cant say any of the Israelis stood out.

Was Gareth Barry playing. Seriously though I thought the booing of David Bentley when he came on was diabolical and the culprits should be ashamed of themselves.

he may well have been Israel's best player as the others were so awful. However I thought he looked disinterested when he didn't have the ball and selfish when he did have it to me but like I said earlier it was difficult to gauge how good a player he is as the overall team performance was so poor.

??

Gareth Barry was my man of the match. Wright-Phillips got that accoldae for the second game in a row, but the people choosing that must have been with the corporate wassacks who didn't show again in their seats after half time - they even turned the telly's off in the corporate area as well I believe to try and shift the sloanes back into the arena. Nah, not while there's a couple dozen boxes of Magners or a vat of Cookaburra Hills behind the bar.

I haven't made my mind up about the booing of Bentley - well, yes I have. BOOOOOOOO, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Chris Waddle was making the same point on Five Live. However they have beaten Andorra and Estonia twice and won in Macedonia to accrue 15 of those points.

Having said that, I think they had an off day yesterday to some extent as they had only lost 1 of their last 18 qualifying games in WC and EC (3-4 at home to Croatia) and have already drawn 1-1 in Russia in this group.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldinho
Lionel Messi
Thierry Henry
Samuel Eto'o

They are all playing as opposed to be retired or dead and I think are all more likely to get the pulses racing of the average football fan than Toto Tammuz though to be fair he does have time on his side to make an impact. However to make his mark on the world game he is going to have to move to a bigger club than Beitar Jerusalem but is he good enough?

I will respond to the recent posts on this thread later when I have more time however I also picked up on this particular quote from Spidermanor. All I can say is ask me at 6.50 on Saturday evening why it's unfortunate and I will tell you then.

Rhodesy, now I'm back lets drag this back to topic.

Where's that list of Mr Temiles non existant coaching achievements? I believe a period of 5 working days is sufficient for you to work up the courage to admit you made a mistake and shouldn't have slandered Gordons profesional achievements.

Secondly you were going to explain to me why comparing Israels Tamuz with Heskey was unfortunate. I don't believe you've done that yet either.

Finally, in advance of rhodesys explanation, I am big enough to accept I was wrong to compare Heskey to Tamuz. On Saturdays performances Heskey is three time the player Tamuz will ever be, and I apologise unreservedly to Mr Heskey for any offence caused by being compared to young Tamuz. wink

Indeed Mrgallis, I fully expect rhodesy to ignore this thread from now on as its all got too embarrassing for him to cope with.

He'll stop posting on here and hope we get bored and stop asking him to respond, he lacks the courage to apologise when proven to be wrong.

So..................wheres that list rhodesy?

It will be with you soon, patience is a virtue. My internet is still down at home so that's why I've been conspicuous by my absence of late, particularly during the night. Regarding the comparison with Gordon and 'the great one' made by MrGallis, there is no comparison, they psyched each other out on 14 October last year at Goldsdown Road without saying a word and Clement won hands down, Gordon blinked first.

Hmm, do you need internet access to say

'hey Clement, you haven't won anything as a coach have you?'

Clement won what exactly against Brimsdown last season, as it certainly wasn't a football match was it?

Feeble attempt at stirring and misdirection, you really need to add some fresh dry ice to your smoke and mirrors machine old boy. A shame really as you used to be quite entertaining, now you're just repetitivly boring.

I understand that 'the great one' won some honours at Charlton at Youth level when he was chief cook and bottle washer at the Valley but he hasn't got back to me yet to confirm. Like I said patience is a virtue.

I believe the season stated this between the 2 sides last season.

League

Brimo 2 Kentish 2

Kentish 0 Brimo 5

Brimo won the league

League Cup

Brimo 5 Kentish 1

Brimo won the cup

The 5 scoreline games may be the wrong way around but you get my point. Thanks for coming Clement!

MrGallis - Yes but the 2-2 match still rankles at Goldsdown Road to this day doesn't it, Brimsdown thought they only needed to turn up to win, having won all their games up to that point, and we gave them a footballing lesson.
