Gordon boateng leaves brimsdown

Recommended Posts

1 - Cough, splutter.

2 - That's possible, but I have already said I am shy and you are quite forbidding.

3 - You quoted that I was writing notes. You didn't see a dictaphone, but neither did you see a pen/pencil or paper.

4 - I did PM you. I will do so again.

5 - Not really. You have a hand in choosing the quotes by making them.

6 - We are still waiting for the facts. So why prejudge them was my argument.

(7) - Thank you for your response.

Can I just ask whether you hold a candle for Gordon Boateng for want of a better expression as you seem to defend him to the hilt in a similar way 3praise defends 'Sugar', it's admirable but might I be so bold as to ask if you happened to be a Brimsdown Rovers fan, how would you be feeling tonight.

That's the point Cecil. I don't know why he left. Perhaps if I was a Brimmy I'd need to look to both Gordon and the Club Directors for that answer. Until it is known I can see little worthwhile mileage in slagging anyone off.

A candle no, respect yes.

I don't see why you are making such a big thing about it if you don't know Gordon from adam, it's part of the beautiful game for fans to come to conclusions and make accusations, particularly on Forums, until the truth eventually comes out, it's hardly crime of the Century.

You clearly missed some previous posts on this subject then. I do know Gordon personally. I was with him when he won the Capital League (the whole season), I have tried to nick players from him (all above board) and I have tried to poach him myself to manage the reserves at another club. We go back a bit. My respect is borne out of first hand knowledge of what he is like in football.

clip Rods, Gordon has made the decision to leave a club that has just come out of SSML Div 1 and join a club that has just been promoted to the Ryman Premier. What is wrong with that?

Wader has previously mentioned working closely with Gordon in the past and if you didn't have the memory retention capabilities of a goldfish he wouldn't have had to repeat it. Or is it just that if players, coaches or managers don't get described as "high profile" or "great" that they don't register in your mind?

Football Man - It's obvious you came home from a game last night about midnight with a few drinks inside you and came straight on here with the sole intention of being opposite again just for the sake of it. I didn't know Wader 'was like that' with Gordon Boateng however he is letting his friendship for the man rule his head, or is it his heart. Gordon walked out on Brimsdown Rovers this week leaving them in the lurh just under a week before the new season starts, there's no getting away from that fact.

I refer the honourable gentleman to the post I made earlier .....I don't know why he left. Perhaps if I was a Brimmy I'd need to look to both Gordon and the Club Directors for that answer. Until it is known I can see little worthwhile mileage in slagging anyone off.

I have tried to demonstrate that I am keeping an open mind Cec until the facts are known, that is all. I will then pass further comment if that is ok by you?

I got home at about 11:15pm actually, without a drink! Had the game I watched not gone to extra time, I would probably have sneaked a pint in my local on the way back but c'est la vie.

Still, more proof that your book-reading skills are slipping!

That may be true, or he have left with their blessing - we don't know the facts.

There is no getting away from the fact that yet again you have made libellous comments on this forum by insinuating that he was given a bung.

Football Man - Well doesn't that appear obvious on the surface, Boateng must have been aware of Harlow's approach for sometime so why wait until a week before the SSML season gets under way before announcing that he is leaving Goldsdown Road. Had he made his intentions clear during June or early July that would have at least allowed Brimsdown time to find a replacement so they could hit the ground running tomorrow week.

Let us get the FACTS straight!

Gordon Boateng did a tremendous job at Brimsdown over the past 18 months one that superseded by far the expectations of the committee. And because of this he has left with their blessing particularly that of the chairman, who agrees that such an offer (in footballing terms not financial) would be hard to turn down. Harlow are two leagues above Brimo and have a role suited to Gordon’s attributes. Let’s remember he has a proven track record wherever he has been.

The offer from Harlow was made THIS WEEK and was not previously discussed or arranged in anyway, this came as a shock to Gordon as much as anyone else, hence the effort throughout pre-season to sign quality players and set out a positive plan for the new season.

Money was NOT a defining factor and has never been for a manager who left a paid job at Dagenham & Redbridge to be an unpaid first manager. This was because of the need for a challenge, which the Brimsdown job certainly was. No he feels it is time for a new challenge at a higher level of football!

The club have not been left in the lurch as only Gordon had left so the management infrastructure remains the same apart from the new manager, who will soon be revealed but has already been appointed from within.

As part of this move an arrangement has been agreed between the two clubs regarding the development and progression of players from both teams.

I hope this has cleared up any issues but if you have any further questions and require FACTS rather than Speculation feel free to enquire.

Mr Gallis

MrGallis - It was good of you to come on to clarify the position, I note that it was your first ever post on the Forum so I assume that you are part of the Goldsdown Road hierarchy, no doubt Football Man will claim to know you personally. As NeutralFan says 'thread closed', your clarification was all we were waiting for but like I said it's hardly crime of the Century to come to conclusions and make allegations particularly on public football forums such as this one.

Football Man - I thought it was fair comment as you always claim, or suggest, that you know everybody there is to know in football at our level.
