Gordon boateng leaves brimsdown

Recommended Posts

Oooer!

I think that the bets should be null and void as the season hasn't started yet! However, if I can't wriggle out of it that way, I suggest that those caught in Rhodes' "sting" should send their tenners to Edgware Town to make up for the £60 that Rhodes never sent them!

We'll see what Football Man says when he comes on, and Lato and Spidermanor come to that, it's about time they acknowledge that I don't talk out of my backside.

clip Rods, the person that passed this on to me last night as 'Royal Secret' information had obviously known about it for a few days. Therefore, it is a reasonable assumption that you did too and that you have carried out a successful stitch-up job on many members of this forum (wonder what your high profile police friends would make of that?).

I did try to warn people off by clarifying the terms of your "wager" last night as you clearly cocked-up when initially stating that he would leave due to throwing a wobbly and then moved the goalposts later when you realised. Unfortunately, they didn't heed the warning so it's between you and them really now. Let's see if it takes you as long to collect as it does to pay out!

This is typical of Football Man who calmly states that his contact 'obviously had known about it for some days', does he know this for a fact. I can categorically say that I had no idea that Boateng was about to leave Goldsdown Road and it was just a gut feeling that I had, if I had known then surely I would have said that he wouldn't start the season there rather than giving him until Christmas. No obviously Harlow have made him an offer with possibly a bung involved and he has grabbed their arm off not giving poor Brimsdown Rovers a second thought.

If what you say is true and simply by staring at your crystal balls you have gleaned the insight of the Goalsdowns darkest secrets, and your conscience is truly clear - then PM me your address or Paypal details. But I flatly refuse to buy any lucky heather or pegs or have my driveway tarmac'd for a third of the price.

Given what I learned about Harlow last night, I doubt that very much. It's still a serious accusation, though, should anyone from Harlow happen to read it.

You are smearing this mans reputation for what or why? Let's hear the truth first before you make unfounded allegations and sweeping comments.

You may not rest your case, you may not pass Go and you may not collect a shirt a ball. Accusations have to be tidier than that little tirade Cec old bean. Come back with the facts please.

Wader - I'm not smearing anybody's name or reputation as that's not my style at all, I was merely suggesting that's how it currently looks on the surface. Perhaps, as Football Man suggests, someone from Harlow Town should come on to put the record straight or preferably someone from Brimsdown Rovers who must be at a low ebb right now having lost their highly regarded Manager so close to the start of what promised to be a successful campaign.

And why did you feel the need to publicly suggest it?

That's not what I suggested at all.

Really, I am surprised and frankly a little disappointed in you lately Cecil. Since your train trip up to leafy Biggleswade with your family in tow, you have disappointed in many areas. Firstly you didn't recognise me, secondly you had a go at me for not recognising you, thirdly you described me as taking copious notes at the match, whereas as RobbieO pointed out I had a dictaphone (no smutty jokes pls) and the need therefore for HB's and parchment didn't arise. Fourthly, you promised a weighy tome in the post, for which I harangue the (rather charmless) post-lady for every morning only to be spurned when the tome fails to materialise. Fifthly, I thought your quotes of the month were far from up to scratch and sixthly you launch a broadside Excocet at Gordon Boateng that is harmfully smearing in its nature.

Appalled of Stamford (waiting by the letterbox in the hall).

Wader - I found your lengthy post a little on the harsh side, I'll answer your points in turn:

1. I thought you were someone from Biggleswade United.

2. I felt that you might have guessed who I was and could have at least asked.

3. I didn't see you holding a dictaphone but apologise if you were.

4. I still haven't got your postal address, did you send me a PM.

5. I don't choose the quotes, Football Man does.

6. We are stll waiting to hear why Gordon left Brimsdown, my own impression is that he has left them in the lurch.
