Did I read somewhere that they've signed Wayne Purser?

 

Are they going to join the ever growing list of boom-bust Essex clubs?

 

Last time I went there they had barely 100 in the ground. What is the point?

They have indeed signed Purser and now have former Canvey and Stevenage player Ollie Berquez as their player-manager.

 

They seem to be throwing a bit of cash around at the moment. From what I've heard the guy who owns Madison Heights, the leisure centre next door to the ground is putting a bit of money into the club.

 

They seem to be really going for it this year. A bit strange considering they didn't apply for promotion last season and there were rumours going around that they were merging with Heybridge.

Does anyone have the address of Mighty Maldon Town's ground and/or directions, and/or its postcode, please?

Ground is in Park Drive. I'm useless at giving out directions so suggest you follow the signs for the leisure centre. Ground is near Promenade Park as well I think.

Directions (from the Maldon Town FC web site):

 

Travel north up the A12 (off the M25 Junction 28). Take the A414 off the A12 signposted Maldon, follow A414 into Maldon until you come to Safeways roundabout, turn right, over next two roundabouts, Club is on the right.

 

If you get lost in Maldon, follow the ring road around Maldon to where you meet a roundabout with Safeways directly in your sight. Keeping Safeways on your left follow the ring road towards the Promenade. The club house is on the right.

The ground is easy to find. If you follow the ring road anti-clockwise it's on your right; if you go straight down through the town it is ahead as the road bears right.

Did we play a full strength side at Maldon ?

Clarke is still on holiday, and Gary Elphick was stuck at the Dartford Tunnel so didn't make it to the ground. 'The First' Noel is sick and James Baker injured.

 

The Biscuit swutched the formation and stuff but other than those, all t'lads were on display

Until we got to the Ryman Premier. Took us 4 or 5 seasons to get out of that division and into the Conference.
