I see that Chas's chip off the old block refers to "16 year old Danny Uchechi" equalizing for Charlton. No doubt she accepted at face value the Charlton coach's repeated lament "he's only 16!" when our defence decided to let him know it was around. In fact, he was telling a porky. Danny will be 18 later this year, having taken his GCSEs last summer at the school where I work.

I thought he had an excellent game and has a good chance of being retained if he keeps up what he showed last night over the next 4 months, which will be crucial in deciding his future. Bright boy & very hard working; deserves to do well. Mind you if he'd still been at school, he'd have got a day in the Behaviour Management Unit for the extremely loud frustrated obscenity which he let loose at one point in the 2nd half.

Actually Skins was quite small in women's clothing, well, he is small in all clothing, but he was into it in a big way. Mentioning Skins it was nice to see Margate's new assistant manager Steve McKimm and family at the game on Tuesday.

Glad to see Caroline is carrying on a family tradition of never letting facts get in the way of a good story. We heard he was 16 in the press box, as they aparrently had five 16 year olds in their squad on Tuesday and Mark Kinsella did protest, after a challenge by Smudger, that Danny was "only 16". You could have heard that in Swanscombe.

I thought all his family were still in Nigeria and he was always such a quiet, polite lad at school, while she was a mega mouth even by BB standards. Still after that enormous "F*ck!" halfway through the 2nd half, who knows?

Also, if Mr Kinsella told porkies re. Danny's age, whose to say the 4 other "16 year olds" were really as claimed? (Having said that, there was another little black lad who could have passed for 14!)

The biggest irony to come out of the Charlton/Aldershot/Ebbsfleet saga is that even though Aldershot had prior knowledge that they were to play a "good" strength Charlton side, and for a very good cause, they were still unable to get a better gate than us who were aware we would be playing a youth/reserve side.

It does rather suggest to me that the days of testamonial games are numbered; we have first hand evidence of embarrassing attendances at both Skins and Andy Ford's matches.

Unless we can do what Doncaster have done tonight, ie get a strong Man Utd side down, it seems hardly worth the effort to stage further testamonial games for ond stalwarts (not that we have any at present!). Very reasonable Man Utd side it is, too
