Am I going mad? Why is it that ebbsfleet.co.uk, ebbsfleet.net and the above list all show the goalscorers in the wrong order?

George got the first and Chukki the second. De Bolla wasn't even on the field when the second went in, he came on at half time and got the third followed by Nade and finally Opinel.

Either that is what happened or I had a very vivid dream that managed to replicate the correct score but in the wrong order.

Sorry if this is seen as overly pedantic, I just need confirmation that I am not going completely ga-ga.

By the way - very good performance with everyone playing well. Was particularly impressed with the way Stacey controlled the game in the first half and how De Bolla took over in the second.
Also, the link up play between Chukki and Luke was very good - they really looked like they could stike up a good partnership if they get the chance

I am now really rueing my decision to book the family holiday for the last two weeks of August, if we start the season the way we have played these friendlies, we could have another good season

Up the Fleet

Possibly not Gaspode. I was held up at work so didn't make the game and relied on texts from my Addicks mate who is promptly sacked as reporter if this was his best attempt at 'reporting'... ! As a part-time Fleet fan he has no excuse for not recognising players either! wink

ok it wasn't the charlton side we wanted, but the first half there young players gave it there all and im sure we could have 1 or 2 of them on loan this season.

Got to say though all our goals were awesome, how chukki got his in was amazing. Rafa's i thought was gona break the net!!

Felt sorry for Liam Coleman he could of had a hat-trick but just wasn't to be last night.

Phil Starkey i would diffo sign, good touch and likes getting forward.

Chris McPhee sorry i wouldn't just doesn't look like he could get the goals for us, summed it up when Bollas shot hit him and he flew in the air grin

Was Phil Starkey the right full/wing back that replaced Mark Ricketts?

If so, I agree. He looked the part. His runs off the ball were very good and his touch and passing looked excellent.

I also have to agree on McPhee. I really hoped that he could contribute and prove his worth as he looks big and strong; just the right shape for the conference. However, he looked a little lost and on the evidence of last night still has a lot to prove.

The squad seems to be shaping up very nicely with competition for places all over the field

My first sight of the team this year and a thoroughly entertaining game. Difficult to know how good a performance it was given the opposition, who fair play to them stuck at it throughout the 90, thought the little number 9 who scored and their number 4 stood out. Everyone in red put in a good performance and the passing and movement was excellent. Thought Chukki looked exceptional but again the lack of opposition may have had something to do with it and Nade took his goal brilliantly, if Liam Coleman had put away his chances we could have had a few more. Only dissapointment for me was Macdonald who especially in the first half struggled with their No 9 even in the air, but can't be too critical on one viewing. Sasha when he came on and despite his goal, didn't look that great either compared to some of the performances around him, I preferred George's performance in that position, although not a natural defender , he tackled back well especially early on.

Didn't see the incident in the crowd only the aftermath and it didnt look much but if it was aggrevated by the group with the drum and presumably stewards were watching, then the club should do something. If it happens again, take away their drum or make them sit down. I appreciate their vocal support but abuse is another matter.

Firstly, just watch what you say! I was standing with the drummer last night, he weren't cheering the group on, neither were the others who are his mates and stand around him. So don't be one of these people who judge a majority of people on those few idiots who stand near us. They joined us at the start of last season, the drummer and his mates are no different to way they were.

The drummer and those immediately around him, including myself, were actively discouraging people from jeering on the assault on a Charlton fan.

Firstly, I am allways careful what I write and I also try to make sure what I write makes sense. That is why I stated that I did not see the incident and used the word 'if' in 'if it was agrrevated by the group with the drum....'.

If as you say the trouble makers 'joined us' then by your admission they are part of 'the group with the drum'. I did not accuse the guy with the drum specifically or any others but as you say the group who stand seem to attract the occasional trouble maker, which might not be the case if they were seated or without the drum.

I don't think it was so much the group 'with' the drum- I know I'm being slightly pedantic but there are the Drummer's friends, and then there are hangers-on, who joined in so enthusiastically last night.

It's very much two groups by the drum, there are those on the left mostly in Fleet shirts who know where the line is and won't cross it, and then there's the 'millwall' lot on the right who have so often been trouble. You can't blame those with the drum for the actions of others, because afterall all football attracts certain types.

Gaspode if your going mad so then am I. The story on Charlton's website is just as correct!

Took so long to get right! that it was only posted today, yet the Aldershot report was on-line by time I'd returned home last night.

Just hope we play the same way starting on the 11th
