Potton 2 - 2 Broxbourne

Recommended Posts

Another very good workout for the lads against a very strong potton side who did well in the vase last year losing to finalists totton 2-1.

We played some nice stuff throughout and worked hard for each other, and should of really won the match. Tony Burke, who was fantastic throughout, won us a penalty in the first half which i put away, but then they equalised almost immediatly!!

They went 2-1 ahead after an hour only for gaz dauti to equalise with a well worked goal in the 80th min again after excellent work by tony burke!!

Because of the distance of the game we only had 12 players and had a back 3 of Gary Taylor, Joel Maybury and myself sweeping (no heading or tackling nf), we spent the whole game winding up their management, great banter up there!

New lad Daniel Tulloc who started upfront broke his collarbone in the first half so i wish him a speedy recovery!!

All shaping up well for the season!

That Daniel Tulloch from Haringey - thought he looked ok last season. Tell the manager not to forget the 7 dayer for Maybury!

He just wants to play 1st team football, he aint played properly 4 3 years coz of injuries!

Just don't want anybody to get in trouble! I'm sure the registration will have gone in, but equally sure it can be sorted! Joel deserves to get his career back!

No surprise there then, I think he will set the SSML alight this season and Broxbourne will be knocked over in the rush with approaches from Ryman League and Conference Club's.

There will be no hard feelings with Joel. He was due to play 90 last night, with Killer in midfield. The opposition were so light up front that Killer spent half the game on the wander anyway!

Good luck to Joel...there is such a thing as being at a club for too long and he's also had a few injuries...he'd become 'good olde joel' at hertford rather than 'centre half joel'...the fact he had been almost totally over looked in the friendlies so far helped make his mind up...leaves us very short on centre halves !

i aint just saying this coz he's come to us and he's my m8 but he is one of the best defenders in the league, he reads the game well, is solid in the tackle and in the air and is a very good talker!! the problem is once he has the ball at his feet he often falls over or kicks it out the ground to which he shouts in typical joel fashion "u cant score from there!!"

I nominate Joel... "he is one of the best defenders in the league, he reads the game well, is solid in the tackle and in the air and is a very good talker"

he aint signed for any1 yet, played for vcd last week but spoke to him yesterday and he might sign for waltham forest in ryman 1 north! he could still possibly sign for us, like all players in preseason, he's keeping his options open!

will be a big miss but u have to deal with wat u've got!

Gal Taylor will be captain now i think!
