well thats 2 recent friendlies and we have become no more than a sunday pub team-usually teams who hope to prosper improve with each friendly, sadly i see no prospects at all again this year. i thought the manager was upbeat about the older experienced players he brought in-pity they don't share his optimism.

One thing looks certain though for the 2008/09 season Guildford City v Slough will probably be a Combined Counties League fixture if things dont change soon

The other thing that is certain is you will keep coming on here and write negative comments. How about flogging us some discount booze instead?

We have 3 games left of pre-season, I'd like to think at some point preferably before the last game that we can play our strongest 11.

Unfortunately it doesnt help that we have so many new players coming into the squad unlike other teams in the league which will have settled squads with players used to playing together.

I've only seen the one pre-season game but from the names I know of and just based on who can play where I would say this would be the strongest XI. Apologies to anyone I've missed and Daly is only not on the list as he has yet to make an appearance this summer.

Jacko, Hopper, Woody, Apps, Mills, Moleski, Roddis, Mets, Bizon, Miller and Davies.
