Confused about which locals are where

Can anyone help as I'm getting quite confused at which level cetain locals will be playing this season.

i.e. Ollti (not sure of his surname), Chris Jarman, Darren Vanhinsbergh, Niel Hoggart, Matt Bowles, Paul Axon, Nick Bagley, Saul Anderton, Jason McAree, Matt Ward etc.

Will these lads ALL or some be playing at Hartsdown tomorrow night or are they now part of the 1st team set up and not on show.

Was hoping to follow them in division 1 Kent League this season or have they all moved onto bigger and better things already.

It looked to me like the basis of a great team that could then eventually step up into the Ryman as a unit together. Or are they going to just mainly sit on the 1st team bench this season instead of building a team for the future.

Surely letting them play as a team regularly in the Kent League has to be good for the club and themselves.

Plus which ones are playing tonight at Chatham. I would have gone but have only just read about the fixture now. Seeing it's 7.20pm doesn't seem much point in travelling up now.

WHY doesn't the club keep us more informed of the reserve fixtures. That's 2 I've missed now. Saturday's and this evenings. Not fair for us who want to follow a bit of Kent League really is it! Especially when hoping to cheer on a bunch of exceptional young local talent.

Very good points Hippy.

The club just does not seem to appreciate-or want -interest and customers.

Its so frustrating.

We all know that attendances will be down this season.

Then (Like last) the club will probably complain that they are not getting enough support and money.

Its not too hard or time consuming just to give a bit of simple info.

As per another post, you can sense customers are drifting away.

Most of us will hang on in there, but you can 'never assume'.

Seems to me a no win situation for the club.

Football is nowadays a squad game and therefore, as I have pointed out some time back in another thread (talking about goalkeepers), it is quite probable that the best "reserves" will become part of the first team squad. That presumably means that they will not always get a regular 90 minutes and unless anyone can encourage the Kent League to play games midweek those players in the Reserves may catch the eye more than those on the bench. So then what does the club do? Move those on the bench back into the Reserves and then those coming up will be on the bench and not getting a regular 90 minutes etc...etc...

I really do think that we are being a bit hopeful to talk about the Reserve squad coming up en bloc to replace the first team - there is a big gap between the two leagues. Also it is worth bearing in mind the fact that any players in the Reserves are always likely to attract the attention of other clubs if the players concerned are not able to get a first team game.

It would be nice to think that we are building a team for the future but given the above, people's ambitions and economics I doubt whether it is really possible.

That's a really good idea about ressies' games bening played mid-week. It can't only be us that has the same issue of bringing on talent.
