Good second half performance, 2 well taken goals from Hodgey and Garness (a triallist). Good to see Boot getting on the score sheet, looks like real competition up front as Burbs and Morgan both put themselves about well. Bit unlucky with 2 of their goals, the 1st came from a free-kick that never was and the 2nd scored by Whelps when Kerras was off the pitch receiving treatment. Again we looked fit, although Kerras going off again is a little worrying.

Abbott Hunter Dormer Hodges

Burbridge Boot

Subs

Semanshia for Kerrigan

Wareham for Abbott

Excellent game especially the second half. Defence looked a bit rocky in the first half. Some good performances though, Jack made some brilliant saves when he came on, Garness looked very lively. A whole game from Lee and I thought he looked much more effective in the second half on the right side.

To me Danny Hill looks a class apart in midfield - it would be nice to see him start a few games, he must be a very patient man sitting on the bench all last season.

Although we seem to have great squad building we seem a bit short of cover at full back - imo Darren is not comfortable covering for Danny and there is nobody close to Macca at right back (possibly Matt Game) And I think we are going to miss Whelpdale big time, we do not seem to have a wide man who can beat a man and cross.(although Garness again did a few)

But this is all being a bit picky, there is a brilliant team spirit in this squad and we nearly took this game against a good Peterborough squad (apart from their no 4 who had a mare)

A great afternoons entertainment and another fine performance from our lads. I thought Lee Hodges was the best player on the pitch by a country mile yesterday.

Some of his long range passing was as good as it gets. The lads up front looked very sharp, Wareham had another improved performance, Danny Hill was excellent as was Leon Hunter.

In fact the whole team put in a very good, disciplined hard working, performance. Young Jack looks good doesnt he.

And...we were privileged to witness A Posh debut of a lad called Ferguson.

Next up Grays...on Tuesday

A thoroughly enjoyable game. It really came to life and there were (as already said) some pleasing performances. However, Garness (Bradley)?? looked (imo) to be a class act. Rumour going round where we were was that he had just turned up for a trial. Dont know anything about him, but "if" that is what he can do then i hope we can bring him into the fold.

Now, being biased towards keepers grin I too thought young Jack had another complimentary performance. Gotta hand it to the club we certainly do churn (find/attract) these youngsters!

As for Peterborough, i thought they had a much more cutting edge than Brighton, and lets not forget this lot are rumoured to be going places so i would say that was a stiffer test than Brighton was last week.

I would also give a shout for Macca, he made one complete end to end run which personified team fitness, when the move broke down at their corner flag.

Anyway, 3 goals scored and all of them were very well taken.

Yes Rick. That will be him alright. Great little mover and well able to get stuck in.

I thought Lee's foot-work in the corner was great something Ali would have been off.

A very entertaining game.

Strange to see us against Chris but thats football. Good luck to both him and his family.
