I thought we gave a good account of ourselves against our visitors. Although it was a friendly (and some of the challenges were far from friendly), I think we showed that we can compete with teams from a higher level.

Excellent first half, where i thought that we showed our potential, the exqualiser was from poor defending but deserved. Second half too many changes to get the rhythem going.

we were very good in the first half and should have gone in two up but a missed open goal from harry after he did all the hard work and giving the ball away on the halfway line (again) led to a poor equaliser just before half time...

 

ebbsfleet worked their way at us in the second half as their full time pre season fitness kicked in but a good account of ourselves and every reason to be confident....

 

bit disappointed in the antics of the jam roll towards the end as he tried to pick a fight with everyone including our gaffer.... ....but it all calmed down and a good afternoons work from our lot...not a good gate (300ish) but to be expected this time of year...

enjoyed todyas game. First half was better than the second, this i think was becuse there was too many changes in players duting the second half.

Also thought that the team did well today against opposition from a higher league. Their fitness did show towards the end but then as they are full time they are entitled to be fitter. We certainley weren't outplayed on the football front.

I thought that we at least matched our opponents for the majority of the game and fully deserved a result.

 

Kris Lee seems to be in good form and a well taken goal from him, lets hope we can score similar goals when the league season begins.

I forgot the excellent save from Dale Brightly in the first 15mins.

The boy is pure class.

Thought it was a typical pre-season clash myself. Enjoyable but strangely quiet on the terraces for much of the game. Good performances by the defence - thought both full backs in the first half in particular looked sound. Dale could still benefit from getting off his goal line and taking some crosses but proved he is a quality shot stopper.

 

Kris Lee and Harry Elms superb but Joe Keith has some work to do yet - but in fairness he may well still be carrying a knock.

 

Andy Tomlinson looked lively and energetic when he came on and think he deserves a starting place more often. With the new faces we have seen over the last few weeks it will be a tough job for Colin to reduce the squad size but I am hopeful of another competitive season and there will be no lack of effort judging by what I have seen so far.

i only stood on the eastside for part off the first half,thats why the noise was a bit low.
