The game tonight

Many more considered opinions on here than I was expecting. It's slightly restored my faith in Slough's fans, most of whom I had down as serial whigers of all things unimportant. Offsides, fouls, referee's rather than the bigger issues like your crap manager and lack of vocal support for the team.

Decent turnout from your lot who yet again went home, tail between legs, partly due to the fact that our players really went for it last night and partly because your's didn't seem bothered.

I could talk about our pace, passing (yes we did manage some) and movement but if ever the gap between Div 1 and the Premier ever needed to be illustrated then this was it.

I accept that the B&B isn't your biggest priority. I suppose it is ours by default due to our league position. That said, our fans aren't overly bothered with it either, it's just that we like to save face against our local rivals something we managed in spades last night. That was by far our easiest win of the season.

I hope for your sake that it was an off day as you've no chance of going up otherwise. Your managers demeanour is one of indifference, something which so obviously amplifies to most of your players. Well, that's what it looked like last night.

I'd like to see Slough back up with us as we need something that even looks like a local derby. Surely it's a double edged sword though. Promotion means no Browne Out doesn't it?

Sack the useless clot anyway. I reckon most of you could do a better job with the resources at your disposal. Well, with the exception of our old mate Roger Slough. How are you BTW you seem very quiet?!? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

Just a question for all you Anti Steve Browne crew...how many of you would show any enthusiasm for your job if like him..as you claim...you were owed mega money by your employer???

If I was owed money by my employer I would resign and sue them for my back pay,but then I,am good at my job and would soon find employment.Unlike the useless talentless inept [****!!****] who is in charge here.

Re Steve Browne - I was surprised to see his body language, having known the sort of player he was. It had appeared he had admitted defeat as a matter of course. The replacement of Gyoury by deaner was perplexing as he had a central defender on the bench and it left you completely exposed.

How many Scouters are there? One said he wasnt there, another writes that Bubb had a good game.

I think Steve Browne actually did the right thing when he brough on Andy D. We were being murdered in attack, no passing route because of the uneven surface, so we brought on some height. Deaner brought some passion to the game, won a lot of the ball (What does that say about Maidenheads defence) in the air, and generally had more flick ons than he has in some seasons. For me he was Slough's man of the match. Wilko has played at the back often enough, but we were exposed because the alternative holding midfield players were not doing their job. I wondered why Spencer didnt come on, as Williams was being out muscled, but noticed that he was changed and leaving the ground before some players were off the pitch. Another injury?
