Has he made that half a yard that he needed at the Grays game then , i think thats all he is lacking abit of pace but if he`s getting there he could be dangerous come 1st game of season . Robs already good in the air so if he is getting the rest of his game right he could be the front man we are looking for , seems pretty dedicated to the cause , lets hope he hangs around and is given his chance .

Scotty to Jay , Jay to Macca , Macca to Rob GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL , its easy . Up the Gate.

I called Melvin for the result last night & the first thing he said (after giving me the result) was that Dean indeed did have a "cracker" & was "outstanding" yesterday.
Now Melvin is similar to me in that Dean isnt,or hasn't been one of his most favoured players in the past so if Melvin says this about him then it must have been true.
No-one could be more pleased to hear that than I am.
Now if he can get that consistency into his game & not lose his cool on occasions,as he has done in the past, maybe this year could be HIS year.Well done Deano!
Melvin also said to me that the whole set of players out there did a really good job yesterday & played very well indeed. Okay,it might only have been Erith ( & no disrespect intended in that comment),& no-one should be getting carried away with the result, but it certainly bodes well for the future.

Dean has always been ok imo, and equally last 6/7 games last season when he played in defensive central midfield, reports said he was one of best players in every game;so hopefully the all important consistency is there.

Probably our most creative passer now Protheroe has left.Possibly the only payer who can supply the 'killer final pass'so agree he could be a key player.

He must not waste it by having shades of red mist though.RT really needs to sort this out with him, as MFC will obviously need Dean on the pitch.

Deano was indeed the best player on the park yesterday, and his passes linking up with Rob were particularly sweet, but if I had commented on that no-one would have believed it, so better to keep my own counsel. Without his feisty temperament he would not be half the player he is, so I am prepared to live with that, and hope he keeps the red mist moments minimal.

As far as the Terminator goes, he was fabulous, and I can see him linking up with Watson and terrorising defences. And he plays with that enormous grin on his face - priceless!

At the Grays game,Rob came over to retrieve a ball & I said "Hi Rob"."Great to see you". Even though he was full of concentration for the game he still made time to reply "Yes,thanks, great to see you too" & had a big smile on his face then also.

Now this guy really does appreciate us fans & seems to really enjoy playing here.

No need to put yourself down June.I personally can only go by what I hear from a game in which I'm not in attendance at.That would include yourself,& I could never doubt anyones word on a players form if I am not there myself to judge.
Such high praise for Deano though, coming from such a big a critic of the player in the past as Melvin was,& may yet still be again in the future at certain matches(yes,it is possible to have one more critical than I) just HAS to believed. Even Melvin himself couldn't believe he was saying it!!

Its happened in the past , Jake Lebrel was given the last rights by some surporters but he pulled through and played some great footy for us in the end , lets hope Deano will do the same , he`s battled away now for a couple of seasons and he is still there so it shows he wants to were a blue shirt and prove to us that he can do it , these are the sort of players we want in our squad , all he has to do now is drop the hard man red card image and prove that he can do a job for us . Up the Gate.

Didn`t Luton Twn pay £25000.00 for his services once .
