Robin Trott may play again in an emergency, also says that it could be as early as the first game of the season with Jay suspended and Pat Sappleton leaving the club. It also says Robin is planning talks with another centre half. And that Pat is seems likely to join Boston.

Also says Pat would love to play for the club again in the future as would the other players he released. Also says is going to give some of the fringe players a chance at Erith N Belverdere tomorrow.

No surprise to me that RT may play again-and in fairness, most games he has done pretty good as a player imo.

Did'nt realise that Jay was suspended-is it just one game ?

I assume as it has not been mentioned that SCS does NOT have a suspension lingering

I agree Michael, despite some criticism of him, his knowledge on the pitch certainly helps players like Smith imo. (checking spelling incase Jim picks me up on it again) wink

In the Isle of Thanet Extra it states that Trotty is trying to form a link between Colchester utd and MFC , he is working on it with his former team mate at the Gills Joe Dunn who is now assistant manager at Utd, would be great for us if this could work , being able to loan out Championship fringe players to us could be a great thing , there average players could be our stars on the park because of the distance of clubs league wise .Up the Gate.

I don`t think he will leave out the fringe players at the club but it shows you he has an ambition to try and send this club in the right direction. It could work both ways with scouts coming down from Colchester and pinching the youngsters we have here ( you never no ) our boys going that way could only lead to the club getting on the map even more and other clubs would be asking where Colchester were getting there lads from .

Lots of people moan when the clubs going nowhere and not doing nothing well now Trotty has decided to try something out let it happen see what the consiquences are and then judge him on the outcome ,we could benifit big time if this works out even the reserves could prosper from it . Up the Gate.

You've disapppointed me now.

I thought nil against probably meant the defence played well.

maybe not so good afterall if the defence were letting them get shots/headers in ,but not there unfortunately so who can tell ?

Still sounds like a decent effort though as always dificult against teams below you.(we lost to Ramsgate when they were still in the kent league two seasons ago )

Well, none of the round things went into the net our end, and a few went into the net at the other end. I like that.

There were no defenders that I knew on display, except for Skins and Scotty, so it is hard to make comparisons with our regular defence. Jay and Louis were not there, I guess they are our regular defence?

As you can tell, by our goals, we did attack as well. Rob, Pinno and a chap called Dave Watson the scorers.

Rob was great, went for it with gusto.
