Flackwell Heath are playing Burnham at Burnham Grammar School on the all weather pitch round the back of the school. Carl Dennison has been allowed to play for Flackwell by Nick so will be turning out for them this evening.

 

Of course, Mr Hale will be in attendance also.

 

Game kicks off at 7pm.

Burnham Fans have been told this game is behind closed doors and no fans can be admitted, for school insurance reasons apparently..

Seems strange then that we were invited by Mr Hale, but will check. Can't imagine that would be the reason as there was a match held there recently on a Saturday which spectators were allowed to watch from the side of the pitch. Can't understand why this would be any different, but will check.

Had a reply from Mr Hale and Flackwell hae not been notified that it would be behind closed doors and a few will be travelling to watch.

I have just spoken to officials at Burnham who arranged the match with the Grammar School and it is DEFINITELY NO PUBLIC ALLOWED. There will be security people on duty who will turn anybody not part of the squads away. The Grammar School are doing a favour as the LightHouse project is running there all this week and they did not want anybody on site for a variety of reasons.

Sorry Andrew, but having attended for a while at the start of the game this evening, there were quite a few spectators and no security.

 

BTW, Carl played and Flackwell won 1-0.

I am disappointed to have been given duff information then! The information given on the Burnham site and given me verbally was as I said. Personally I am very annoyed.
