5 a side pitches

Plenty of electrical work going on inside the new extensions to the 5-a-side offices etc but nothing happening on the actual site for the pitches as far as I could see.

Its all still overgrown & unprepared for any 5-a-side pitches to be put down there.

I believe something has been delivered (took a look yesterday & today, behind the exsisting changing rooms))in preparation for this in due course but nothing like the amount of materials(as promised)we were expecting in preparaton for a start today.Theres nothing there to have us believe a start is imminent.

Seems "Ernest" is still not available yet to help out yet!

Can someone confirm to me EXACTLY where the pitches are to be put. My mention of overgrowth in some previous posts may be of the wrong areas in which they are to be constructed.

I was under the impression that they were going to be where the old "nursery" site" was. It seems (because of the floodlighting) they are going where the cricket pitch is, immediately behind the ground in Hartsdown Park. Is this correct? Seems,if so,I may have been looking in the wrong area.

Was talking to someone today & was told things WILL be happening on MONDAY next, for sure! Excuse me a minute...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Oh,then I was informed incorrectly today then & I was correct in my assumptions to begin with.In that case I am confused.Cheers Andy.

We will just have to wait & see I suppose, with the emphasis on the "wait"!

The rumour on Saturday was that the archaeologists are going in first. Seeing as how the site has been a wasteland and dog toilet for the last ten or so years, I would have thought they could have dug it up years ago. But that would be too simple wouldn't it!

And how much will that cost the club to let the anoraks dig.

Cost £30,000 last time they were let loose at the ground. Being Council owned land maybe those buggers can pick up the tab.

Oh forgetting two councillors sit on the archaeologists board so another money making scheme found!!!!

Dont think that they were ever lies, the club will be more frustrated than us as the directors have to put in the money that was expected from the 5 a side pitches

This has dragged out to long, but just say its the councils fault (not saying it is) the club couldn't very well turn round and say that they are a bunch of whatevers

They COULD turn round to us & say there was another hitch though. Alright they would come in for some stick for yet another delay but at least we would KNOW officially WHY this is yet again delayed.I too heard it was about the Archaeologists & if it is then why oh why dont they tell us.It would at least save me the cost of petrol I use going past every Monday especially to have a look.

But we've all been here before haven't we & the club have assured us we would all be told about anything that might hold this back.

Alas they fail to do that..again. Just what is the problem with someone giving us an update for goodness sake. p.s. That wasn't a "q" for you Pagey by the way l.o.l.(I just know what you would say)
