Morning Ladies!

 

Concord are a good side, one of the better Step 5 teams I've seen recently. We were all over the place early doors and they started sharp and capitalised with a couple of well taken goals. They then scored a couple more later in the first half to make it 4-0 at half time, was contemplating twisting my ankle in half time warm up rather than go on as they were rather sharp!

 

Second half a lot more organised and we managed to string more than 2 passes together and get ball in to the strikers and create some half chances. They always looked sharp coming forward and I think crfcboss got me sussed when he switched the slightly overweight looking forward I had been picking up and put on a quick winger to run at me!! wink (PS I was the guy who came on at right back.. No 16) Tried to negotiate with the winger so we didn't have to run up and down but he wasn't having any of it.

 

We got a pen when a wicked dipping cross, by yours truly, was 'handled' in the box, ref was the only to actually see this and Toski slotted it away.

 

They had a few more chances towards the end, free kick that hit the bar and then they scored late on from a deep cross to the back post which was well headed back across into the far post.

 

Good learning experience for our guys I think.. well hopefully anyway!!

Never seen a Chairman of a club get so excited about winning a pre-season game before, especially as Hoddy were missing players.

Someone give him back his rattle and his dummy to calm him down! cool3

I know nothing about missing players as I'm new back there and don't know many of them. We had 3/4 playing that I'd never seen before last night.
