Yes mine is a stock one from the site. A minute a go I could see all of them (except yours!) but now most of them have disappeared again! Don't know what's going on. You'd better chat to your old mucker Ian W. wink

Can never get hold of him. He's probably out photographing herds of Wildebeest or taking lewd snaps of Karen Brady for FC Business. Clearly that's why he hasn't had the time to make Cecil a moderator yet.

Happy with that start, normally we are quite slow to get going so with Old Bradwell United and Padbury United at home we should be looking at maximum points.

 

The cup draws must be out soon as well, anyone know when?

I think he means that its very strange for a club not to have a single home game in 3 weeks, is there any reason for this? Or is there a date that you are allowed to start playing home games by your hired venue for this season?

Paulb - I don't think that's what Horace was suggesting at all and it's purely coincidence that we don't have a home game during August, that's just the way the fixtures have panned out.

Any other clubs not have a home game during August that have a ground available. Understand any that are multi sport venues wont have any home until after cricket season, but surely a club like KTFC with such a magnificent ground should have one, there is obviously no reason for them not to is there Rhodes???

Is it true that the ground is hired from the athletics club and not the Council? If so, I presume the athletics club have first dibs on the dates.

I don't know what all the fuss is about just because we are coincidentally starting the season with four away fixtures, I assume we will be at home on 1 September and then again on 15 September, there may even be a replay needed if we draw at Hoddesdon in the Vase.

Not that I'm too fussed on this matter mind having played most of my footie for clubs that have to wait for the cricket season to finish!! Very annoying as a player...

Actually, don't like sardines and only drink Mateus in the UK in the summer.

 

Much prefer a portuguese kebab with prawns and steak chunks on a charcoal grill with a bottle of red douro wine. All served at our restaurant in Kensal Green.

 

Missing that right now actually, dinner is up for me.
