Cricket rained off with oppo 72-4. Rain didnt come in time for me to catch a game.

 

AB's had a tournament on Sunday and got knocked out in the SF. Lost to a team we had beaten in the group stages. Grrr

Won 11-3 i think it was. I thought it was 10 but others keep telling me it was 11 so i'll go along with that

 

Played well in some parts but sh*t in others when getting too cocky. Another good work out though and a few key players getting fitter

Not sure about that mate. Dunno where the ex AFC W cast offs came from, we didn't have 1 out playing to my knowledge.

I actually went quite mad at the boys at half time, and we were 8-2 up!

EG is playing it down somewhat. 1st half they murdered SL's merry men - left winger was lightning quick, no doubt he'll get kicked a few times in a "real" game!

 

The Banstead squad is certainly looking much stronger than last season (as is Frimley Green!) & I would expect them to be right up there challenging. Top 3 certainties.

 

SL can take comfort from the fact that not many teams in Div 1 will convert the percentage of opportunities that Banstead did - just about every shot in 1st half found a top or bottom corner.

I am a man that never hides and have come on here to face the music. Yes we were down 8-2 at half time and lost 10-3 in the end. You know it is going bad when the ref is guessing at the score because his notebook got wet and could not read it. It was one of those games which you learn a lot from a large defeat. EG has put together a very good side that I am sure will be pushing for promotion.
