New players David Lee and Andy Hall

I have so far no detail at all on Andy Hall (he played at right back yesterday).

 

For David Lee, on the assumption that I have got the right David Lee - is he the one who scored against Aldershot in the trophy at Purfleet about three or four seasons ago? - then this is what I have got so far -

 

David Lee – midfield – Dave started his career as an apprentice at Tottenham Hotspurm then made 100 Football League appearances for clubs including Southend United, Hull City, Brighton and Hove Albion, Bristol Rovers and Oldham Athletic.

Played for Stevenage Borough and Thurrock, for whom he scored on his debut. Joined Aldershot in February 2005 but broke his leg in a match at Canvey in August 2005. Made 18 appearances in 2006-07, before joining Harlow in January and then Braintree.

David Lee is a good player who has done remarkably well to recover from his injury.

As Colin indicated in his post match interview we will need to let one or two players go before the start of the season. It is not clear (to me anyway) whether any of the "new" players we have trialled in our friendlies have signed (or will sign) for the Club. Michael Brothers seems a reasonable bet but I think we need to wait and see regarding the others.

Lee looked a decent player when he played against us for Harlow last season. Could easily still play in the Conference.

None the less, they have still played in a pre season match, and I am sure that many of us are interested in where they have previously played.

 

I did not intend to give the impression that they had signed for HFC, it was simply to build up a profile of them. I do not know who Colin has signed, but when you look at the player profile it gives an idea of the quality of player Colin is looking at.
