The Smoking Ban and Hartsdown Park

"Following the introduction of the smoking ban, it is now prohibited to smoke in any indoor areas at the ground, including the bar, offices and shop. Smoking is also no longer permitted in the main stand or under the covered terrace at the Hartsdown Road end of the ground".

 

Looks to me like us smokers will be allowed to smoke still provided its in the open air & away from those that don't partake in this habit.(reading between the lines).

 

"Sugarlive" music festival this weekend

As for any Grays fans travelling today it might be worth coming down earlier if you can today to take in the many musical artistes(including Ben Mills from Whitstable) appearing, (many for "free") in the town on the seafront by the clock tower (& at other venues)(all 10 minute walk from the ground) this weekend in the "sugarlive" festival being staged in support of the "Emily Wells" fund. (Donations will be gratefully accepted).

 

21st July: All day

Sugar Live 2007: Ben Mills, The Skatalites The Dualers, Floors and Walls and many more bands playing at a variey of venues throughout Margate. All in aid of the Emily Wells fund. Varied Venues: Sugar Lounge, Marine Parade, Margate. www.sugarlive2007.com

 

As for the game itself its "cut price" entry today too.
