Ronnie Worster

Ronnie is a cracking young keeper, and one we intend keeping.

The trouble we have at the moment is we have two very good keepers and both are to good to be sat on the bench.

So If Ronnie can get a full season under his belt on loan then it can only do him, and Billericay Town good.

Next season he will be even better, and I'm sure he will have a very good shout at becoming our number 1

Obviously not good to have an excellent keeper on the bench twiddling his thumbs but I do feel this is a bit harsh on Ronnie who had a great season last year.

Good as Billy is he does seem to be a bit accident prone both in terms of the odd sending off and an awful lot of injuries. It would be very unfortunate to find ourselves without cover in the event of a long term injury. Can we not keep them interested with some rotation. After all with 42 league games and hopefully a number of good cup runs this should give scope for 30 or so games each !!

Leaving ourselves without cover was never an option, and Rotating keepers is not practical.

We have high hopes for Ronnie, but he needs to be playing week in week out to improve his skills.

We would be letting Ronnie down if we kept him knowing that he would only take part in half the games.

IMO, if we can find Ronnie a good loan position, then that's the right thing to do.
