Greg Dyke - You seem to have a reputation on the Forum and you are second in the top posters monthly league table, where do you find the time to post so much.

I take it the game is definitely going ahead, we have had no more rain since that downpour of biblical proportions yesterday afternoon.

team news from the Baldock Town web site...

Early Team News from Baldock is that centre-back pairing of Karl Beadsworth and last season's player of the year and skipper Lee Buck are away for this one. As are Ben Lowden and wideman James Smith. There will be some new faces on show in defence with Callum Rusbridge and Matt Hoy both returning after a season away and new recruit Danny Bennett could also feature in defence.

The game is definitely ON. I've just been on the pitch -there is no evidence whatsoever that it even rained yesterday! Lots of grass but still on the firm side.

If you're bored with the cricket this afternoon, get down to Hertingfordbury Park - full bar and tea bar facilities available!

Hertford Town 5 Baldock Town 0 - Nap hand for the Deadly Duo (Cooper 3, Redford 2). Attendance 49.

Hertford coasted through the game, using a squad of 16 players, with five changes at half time. Baldock put up a spirited performance against a team 2 levels higher than their new level, and with the nucleus of their side away on holiday.

Thanks for posting that Manics - tell your daughter thanks too. I remember that passage of play - it was near the end when it was 4-0 and we'd switched off!
