If it continues then any groundsman that wants their football pitch to be looking good for the 1st game will certainly call their matches off tommor. The 5 pitches near my house are totally under water.

 

I dont remember there ever being pre season friendlies called off due to the weather. Its totally bizzarre.

Last time I played at Hanworth Villa was for Brook House in some cup years ago and game had to me moved off Main pitch to one over other side of park as someone had burnt a car out on the main pitch the night before and was still smoking!!!!

Last time I was there it fell out of the sky, but the pitch held up remarkably well.They have got a good side and the hospitality is excellent, ended up leaving about half past ten.Fortunately my mate doesn't drink so I drank for the both of us.

i know that rain was proper heavy this morning but im sure the ground will soak it up, the sun's been out for the last 3 hrs around there now with a nice breeze dont think there will be a problem unless we get another heavy storm for 3 hours tonight.
