Jay Saunders it is then!

In todays Gazette Trotty says:

"Ive always had this in mind for him.Two of his best positions are centr-half & centre-forward but when you get a bit older you tend to drop back".

"He's so calm at the back. I had a chat with him & said I need someone with experience there".

"He's happy to go with it & thats good for me & good for the club".

There were some other "good vibes" coming from Trotty in the local too"

Good luck Jay. You did well there in the past & though you aren't the tallest of men your ability in the air is outstanding. Keep it tight back there, keep it cool & help keep the sheets clean!

Great of Jay to fill this roll , back 4 and Scott looking alot better now , Midfield could be the problem now though with Jay moving back , just got to hope that Macca won`t pick up to many bookings and Trotty has got to allow Jimmy to play down the wing where he is at his best but alot happier with the team now than i was , Up the Gate.

With Macca and Dean Standen in the middle, (ignoring depth for a second) I don't think we're short of "bite" in midfield. I do hope though, that we minimise the number of times we bring Jacko into the middle. While he can do a job there, we did miss his crosses in from the left.

moving jimmy into the middle was a big problem towards the end of the season but this really needs to be addressed this time round , we need Skinns and Jacko working that wing while we have Macca ploughing the middle putting the balls through with Yianni pushing on at all times , Goals Goals Goals is what we want and if we can provide Pinns & Side with 15-20 each we are in with a chance of a good season .
