... Burnham Ramblers welcome AFC Hornchurch aka "The Urchins" to the Burnhambeu for a pre-season friendly, kicking off @ 3pm.

 

HOWEVER before that...

 

We are proud to announce, there will be a game prior this, as we welcome none other than a West Ham United X1 to Leslie Fields.

 

The "Wet Spam United" side (sorry couldn't resist!) will be mainly an under 21's and reserve side, as the 1st team squad are in Austria, but expect to see a few internationals, and some great talent on show.

The Ramblers side will be including mainly trialists and reserve team members, with the possibility of a few first team members making appearances.

 

This game will be kicking off @ 11am.

 

Well done to the Ramblers staff for setting this game up... applause

End of the day, its a great day for the club, and a great experience for whoever plays in BOTH games...

 

I cant remember the last time a Premiership side brough a team down to play in Burnham! Whether it be a first team or youth side...

 

I just wish I could play now... frown

Our reserve sides average age is about 16/17 anyway, so if anything, it will be a good opportunity for the youngsters to play against some high quality opposition.

Meaning a good opportunity for the Burnham fans to see some of the talent coming through @ Burnham.

 

There is a good possibility that people will have to take part in both games, so it will probably end up being a mixture for both games.

 

Anyway... Enough of your jealously...

Im sure if you ask Del nicely, he could give you half hour... grin
