A very good signing. Francis was a real thorn in our side for Aveley in our three games against them last season.

 

I remember that shot that nearly broke the crossbar at their place when we rather fortunately won 2-1.

 

Certainly his pace and skill will provide us with some real options.

Looks like we're getting some real attacking options going here. I think two good defensive signings and we'll be well away.

 

With Francis on one wing and Fanibuyan on another it will be interesting to see if there is a place for those who provided those options last season, plus with the choice of five Strikers, it could be pretty tights for places up front next season.

Apparently Francis ended the season playing for Waltham Forest, i guess he left Aveley around the same time Halle joined us.

Yes played with him when he was enfield town. very quick not a bad player at all.

Vaguely remember him.Played half a dozen games.Looked a good prospect in wide midfield.Trouble is, at the time we has four decent wingers,including a couple who were very similar in style to Francis.As such,he didn't get a regular start and left fairly quickly.

 

Should be a good season.Expect Canvey/Dartford/Enfield Town/AFC Sudbury to fight it out for the title.My outside bet this season to cause a surprise would be Wivenhoe.Could be worth putting a fiver on them making the play-offs.

I think Wivenhoe are re-building this season and i really can`t see them making the play-offs, Maldon are the side who might be worth a bet on.

Not if they keep another club from winning the league or getting into the play-offs i hope they have changed that rule for this season.
