Bromley v 'Gate - Tuesday = Game On!

P.W.

Recommended Posts

With the lack of info from MFC I e-mailed Bromley about Tuesday - here is a copy of their response ...

Hello Peter,

Thank you for your enquiry.

We can confirm that we will be hosting Margate on Tuesday evening (17th), kick off 7:45pm. We were initially planning to also send an XI to Whyteleafe but that match has now been cancelled.

Kind regards,

Press Office

Bromley Football Club

Anyone want a ride up there ?

Did need some clarification-agreed.

In fairness, Wellsie did post on here that it was on, and tried to let us know in a semi-official role, but think his post became a bit isolated.

Did need clarification; and as you say Peter, still nothing from the club.

A bit short sighted if the Board are thinking its an away game, so nothing in it for us financially.!!

Can't be the case anyway ,as no effort has been made to stimulate interest for the Grays game either.

As far as the Board are concerened, maybe we have too many fans and too much money at the club,so no need to do anything.

mmmmm !

At this time of year Clubs will have unattached players trialling with them, with a view to hoping to impress the Management enough to be offered a contract, that's how we got SCS last term. We have also been told that a number of last season's Reserves are training with the first team, along with 'signings' Charlie Side and Stuart Harte. So we should be able to put together a team.

"According to the Bromley FC Office, as at 2.25 today 10th July 2007, the game is definitely on"

Posted by me under "Friendlies" last week. The game is part of the Danny Hockton deal apparently.

Bromley must be wondering what is going on!

Problem is, no-one at MFC seems either bothered or embarassed by that situation.

I thought the supporters were being treated disrespectfully.

One wonders now whether contempt is a better description.

I truly hope not
