......... tried e-mailing the club to find out what the fu$k is going on i am sick and tired of knowing nothing while EVERY other club around us is releasing news on fixtures, transfers, general news, this club is absolute [****!!****] to the fans that so desperately try to support it, isnt it about time that this issue was sorted once and for all, have to say at this stage we should all be buzzing at the prospect of a new campaign and i personally am NOT looking forward to it because we don't know sh1t, ok so as stated in the local press that RT is 'talking' and 'hoping' well isnt it a little late?? in bout a month or so we will be kicking off the new season and this club as so frequently does are treating the fans like we don't exist.

HATE TO SAY IT BUT IN THE SPACE OF A SEASON RAMSGATE SEEM TO BE OVERTAKING MFC IN THE THANET RACE!!!!

They seem to be streets ahead of us at this stage in the year and my patience is running very very thin!!!!!!

I will be e-mailing the club tomorrow after work and i suggest that others do the same, if we all let them know that we are all singing from the same songsheet(assuming we are and not just me)and all feel betrayed and let down then maybe just maybe they will start to appreciate the fact that this club is our livelyhood too!!!!!!!!!

Somehow i still believe it will fall on deaf ears but we can only try.

MFC GIVE US SOME NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mad

I agree with BF above, and its very sad that you can sense supporters turning against a Board of Directors who no doubt are doing everything they can to save the club.

If nothing else, all it needed was a statement from the B of D saying something along the lines of 'in the current climate of negotiations with HMRC ,your Board will regretably only be releasing very limired information on any aspect of the club until a clear path ahead is known. That process will probably take a month. We thank you for your anticipated patience, and continued remarkable support, and are looking forward to sharing an outstanding season with you all'.

Something like that was all that was needed.

Instead we get nothing, which is totally dis-respectful;and is turning some of us against, very genuine and hard working people, but with no obvious idea how to keep people on your side.

(as a complete aside-i notice that the official Ramsgate site is promoting direct via the club away travel including that to a friendly.I appreciate that MISA do exactly the same and better, but mention simply as an example of how Ramsgate are directly promoting the club and endeavouring to stimulate interest. What happens is that a couple of less die-hard Margate fans go,then a couple of weeks later, a couple more go, then the trickle becomes a stream; and all of a sudden.Ramsgate have converted 20-30 supporters to them and thats another 20-30 less for margate. The trickle becomes a flood, and all the margate board are left with is themselves to play with. Are they so blind and pre-occupied )

As we know the game is going on against Grays on Saturday could`nt some sort of meeting be arranged for after the game as everyone from the club will be there and a vast majority of hard core surport will be there as well and maybe we might get some answers to what is happening if MFC are prepared to go along with it , even if its only 10mins long we might find out SOMETHING.

We are obviously a very rich club as the Board see no need to do any kind of marketing activity and/or PR whatsoever.

It need'nt cost any money either.

If it was'nt so sad, it would be funny.

What a farce.

No need? I don't think they can be bothered! We have had this argument before about the club promoting themselves. We had hardly any sponsers last season, and that was down to the fact it wasn't promoted. I have heard of many people wanting to get in touch with the club and they either don't answer, don't return calls or respond to emails. So, any volunteers to email the club? I think you'll be waiting a liftime for a response!!

I have had a text from someone connected with RT and it does not sound good. Its not really news and I don't want to start rumours but basically we do not appear to have a full team with which to play the friendly against Bromley on Tuesday night. This will not surprise anyone and it probably means that we cannot get any firm commitments with the current state of the financial affairs of the club (i.e winding up order problems still in progress). Reading between the lines I guess it means playing some reserves, potential signings as is the case with most friendly games!

It is possible that the reason MFCBD have made no statement is that there are no further developments since the meeting with MISA a few weeks ago. This is a sensitive time and there are legal proceedings to go through and probably they have been advised not to make any statements regarding those proceedings while they are ongoing which may harm their position?

I think it would be unwise of the club to make any kind of suggestion, good or bad until they know the outcome of the winding up order. This is a serious situation for MFC and all concerned as ultimately it affects the future of our club! I suspect the reason RT is quiet is the for the same reasons I have stated.

No news means NO NEWS and as much as we want to hear something concrete, we will just have to wait on the outcome of the legal proceedings and continue lending our support wherever we can (e.g. help with the clubhouse/ground etc..). I do not speak on behalf of the MFCBD and I am sure everything is being done to keep the club running. Perhaps if they read this thread they will give us some info in respect of whether friendly games are to go ahead etc??!!
